    Eureka ESP problem

    good lord!!! your a vacuum collector its not that hard! Buy a new belt, flip the machine over, check the fan and pulley and brush, then throw on a new belt. then run it and see what it sounds like. When you become a collector, it does not pay to be afraid.......cautious yes, afraid...

    and i cant WAIT!!!!! till they discontinue the Commercial Guardsman Convertible (which has been around for 43 years, no less) and we will now see a Guardsman II which will be a orange and black commercial Oreck,  part of there "improved" commercial line.     Yes it was!!!!! I dont see why SOOOO many people are so worried about there vacuums and what others think, we had this discussion in miscellanea involving the relationship side of it.     what about a pic??? unless it is something one of a kind, a machine is worth its best offer. Alot of people tend to want hundreds of dollars just because a machine in "old" or "vintage" or "antique", But that's simply not the case. there's a lot that becomes a factor that a "average" person...

    NIB Hoover find!!

    Cool! that matched the 1060 Convertible, and that line of gold and dark Seal Greige Hoovers. I always see the blue, and the bright yellow models with the cheap heads. that is one that i never see. =)

    Hoover build date question

    Hoovers, made after 1987..... Hold the date in the serial through the first 4 numbers , like for instance, if the first four numbers are 0488, then the machine is from April of 1988. But if a date from the first four can not be formed then it was made before 1987. So yours would most certainly...

    i found this, and scanned this for you!...it is the back page of a VERY early DD 501 hand vac manual. the past owner wrote 1987 on the top of the front page. what are all the models in the pic??
