Genuine blue Windsor Sensor S12 cord

Check out Windsor's website. They probably have the replacement parts for your particular model: https://windsorvacuums.com/

    Well that was unexpected

I wonder what’s wrong with it. I see it says As Is on the tag. Seems like it would be good for cleaning the carpets in huge hotel ballrooms and similar places.

    Bagged thrift store sightings

The bright green one was a Kenmore. It's actually just a grease pen they use to write prices on some things like vacuums, so it thankfully comes off fairly easily!

    Bagged thrift store sightings

I saw a few bagged vacs mixed in with carpet cleaners at the thrift store yesterday.

    Windsor Sensor XP12

Thanks repairman for the kit number! I’ll probably go ahead and purchase that.

    Windsor Sensor XP12

Ok thanks. That’s helpful to know. Under the hood was really clean with very little dust. Motor sounds healthy as well. I only ran it for a moment to make sure since the bag is mostly full. Do these belts typically need to be changed periodically? They seem to be in decent shape.

    Windsor Sensor XP12

@luxlife. Yeah no sharpie marks thankfully, only a serial number carved in the plastic in two places but not even really noticeable unless you are looking for it. It's very small. Is the brush/up down feature supposed to work when the machine is off or only when turned on? It physically moves...

    Windsor Sensor XP12

Thank you luxlife and panasonicvac! This is helpful info! I tried taking the hood off myself yesterday eve but had trouble so I'll check out the links to see if I can get to the insides to check them out.

    Windsor Sensor XP12

I came across a Windsor sensor xp12 vacuum at a thrift store recently. It’s scuffed up in places and dirty, it all the parts seem to be there, including attachments. Were these primarily used in hotels and commercial settings? I haven’t seen one of these in person before but the first thing I...

    Thrift store find

You’re right John. They are pretty heavy vacuums in general but they seem to do a great job on carpets! I only have one bagless vacuum, which is a Kenmore Elite cordless stick vacuum. It is great for bare floors and picking up cat hair with the pet turbo brush. It’s convenient to use for quick...

    Thrift store find

Nice Alex! Yeah I love finding the upright Lux vacs for cheap at thrift shops. Can usually get them for hardly anything! Hi Barry. Yeah I typically would not consider picking up a Kirby since I only have one room with wall to wall carpet, but they are such well made machines I thought I should...

    Thrift store find

I haven’t shined it up yet, just a general cleaning of the dust and hair from the brush roll. The belt appeared to be fairly new. The genuine Kirby disposable bag only had a tiny amount of dirt in it. Everything seems to work as it should including the direct drive and the stepper carpet height...

    Thrift store find

Found another vacuum today at the local thrift store. I’d seen it sitting there for probably a couple weeks and passed it up as I told myself I didn’t need another vacuum! Anyways, it was still there again this afternoon marked down to a smidge under $25. I ran the motor in the store for a...

Shark design changes in "newer" models ala Electrolux?

@huskyvacs A large portion of consumers aren't going to be willing to spend that kind of money on a new Kirby vacuum, regardless if the vacuum will last them 30 years. People are about cheap, inexpensive units that they can dispose of every 5 or less years, buy a new one, and still be ahead...

    Kenmore Intuition bagged

So....the more I used this new Intuition upright clearer, the less I liked it. As I had mentioned, it was difficult to push on the carpeted floor without opening the suction relief valve. Then, I was unsure how effective it was at cleaning, so it ended up being a lot of back and forth opening...

    Kenmore Intuition bagged

@dysonman......I’ll have to check the bag connection area on mine to see if have any dirt that gets past the seal. There are pros and cons to this vacuum of course. I did try out the turbo brush for cleaning oet hair and it does seem to pick up well, even with it being air driven. Did you keep...

    Kenmore Intuition bagged

Yeah, it sort of looks like that. I think they do make a bagless Intuition though. The fact that it had a bag was a big draw for me. That and in the past Kenmore has been really good with warranty claims. I think this is made by Cleva.

    Kenmore Intuition bagged

Picked up a Kenmore Intuition bagged upright vacuum last week, in green! Love the color. While it’s easy to use and was a snap to assemble, there are a few things that I think could use an improvement. First, the power cord juts out at a strange angle on the right side of the machine, and I...

    Thrift store find

Thanks Jo! I bought some metal wands today and was going to buy a new hose, but the local vac shop wanted $89 for an aftermarket electric hose. I like supporting local stores, but I couldn’t justify paying that price when the same item could be had for less than half that price online.

    Thrift store find

Based on the link that huskyvacs posted the other day, I’ve identified my vacuum as the Legacy, as the serial number prefix is an M and it ends with an L. Thanks all!
