Bagged thrift store sightings

lol I did the same ho-humming about when I got my Oreck 40th Edition as well. When I went back like....2 weeks later on 50% off day, there it sat, and I grabbed it for $7. On mine the bag has a slight permanent crumple to it, I'm wondering if it would be starched out, or washed?

Orecks are probably the best vacuum to learn repairs on. You can take the entire vacuum apart with just 1 philips screwdriver, all the parts are easy to see what they do and how they work. It is a very simple vacuum. It kind of all goes together like LEGO bricks, there's no wrong way to assemble it, as it will only fit together one way.

Oh, well that's good!
I like green. I like Sears. I may have had a hard time leaving that one there. Although, I did manage to walk away from a similar bright orange Kenmore canister a while ago. And it was very complete. But, I'm just out of room.

I would've for sure gotten the Panasonic and the Simplicity:) Also depending on the condition the Kenmore was in, I probably would've gotten it too. Anyways, yesterday I just bought a Panasonic from my local thrift store that I've been after for since I was a kid.

Great find!
An orange one, a little older than that, is one of my dream machines. It was my family's first canister vac with a power nozzle.
It was before they put the cover over the on-board tools. And the style of the power nozzle was a little different. But the control panel looked nearly identical to this one.
Congratulations!

Jimmy,

Oh, that sure looks like it!
It will make me feel very sad if you eventually post a picture of it getting hauled away for scrap. But, there's no way I can get to you to get it. And, I'm sure shipping costs would be pretty steep.
Do you have the complete machine, or just what's in the picture?

Eureka

I have several power nozzles that might have gone with this model. Hose and attachments should be easy to find. I would only want $10-20 but there would be packing and shipping. It's leaving soon one way or another.

Nice find, Alex!
In the town where I grew up, which is about a half hour from where I am now, someone had a free Dual Sanitronic 80 on Craigslist. I know it's not a thrift store, but it kind of tied in with your Kirby deal.
I'm saying it's a DS 80, but I'm honestly not sure. It's green. Isn't the DS 80 the green Kirby?
Being the hoarder that I am, I was very tempted. I also love green. But, I resisted.
