    SHARK VACUUMS

This arrived this morning, badged as Morphy Richards in the UK. I am really impressed with the performance although I would not have paid £199.99 for it. I got it of Amazon for £99. Was very shocked at how much dirty it pulled out of the carpets, especially as I vacuum everyday. A lot quieter...

    Hotpoint light n easy

Handy flex storage pocket...... that just jogged my memory. Mum kept the polish, a duster and a stiff hand brush ( for brushing dust away from the skirting board) in the cord storage pocket. Robin, thanks for the pic of your Hotpoint, haven't seen one in that colour before. Vacbear,it appears...

    Hotpoint light n easy

James. A bigger place would be lovely, have to wait a few years though until hubby finishes his masters. There are a couple of collectors in Scotland, unsure if they have a light and easy though!

James, Am afraid I don't have room for a collection, would be nice to use one again though.

    Hotpoint light n easy

My mum had a Hotpoint light and easy, she bought it in 1968 and had it until I was about 6 or seven (75/76). The height adjuster broke and mum had to tip the cleaner forward to make the brushes contact the carpet. She said when I was a baby I screamed the house down every time she vacuumed, she...

    hoover freedom electronic 1000 s4090

SOME kid's have no respect, I am a youth worker and feel sorry for teenagers today, they get a bad reputation due to the actions of a few. Having said that I have worked with older people who behave disgracefully. ANYWAY.....back to vacuums as from what I can gather each thread has a limited...

    hoover freedom electronic 1000 s4090

I spent a huge chunk of my working week on the bus, I work city wide, thankfully my work covers the cost of my travel and I never used the car for work as it was not practical. A lot of area's in Edinburgh have residents "permit holder" parking only. I live 2 minutes walk from Aldi and...

    hoover freedom electronic 1000 s4090

I've been without a car for a year now. I miss it dreadfully, although not a necessity I miss the convenience. Good that you have two Freedom's, they are lovely looking cleaners. I remember when they first came out in the 70's. A neighbour had one in green with the metal poles and the flip...

Hooversrus2012 Please don't thank me, I am not taking sides in this and as I said, there is no excuse for rudeness. I do take exception to you calling a friend a "fish wife". Back to the matter in hand. That is a lovely Freedom you have, can I ask why you are selling it? Are you downsizing...

Whilst txt speak and lack of punctuation irritates the heck out of me I do realise that some people really struggle with reading and writing for whatever reason. I find spell check invaluable as my spelling is terrible! However, there is no excuse for rudeness. I think it would be nice to get...

    The Electrolux Nimble.

I've had a Nimble since sept 2011. I bought one as they are well made and are one of the few vacuums that have a metal sole plate. One the whole I have been very pleased with it. It's is relatively quiet, cleans well and maintenance is very easy. The one niggle I have had since day one is the...

    vintage vacuum cleaners

Found it! It's Vacbear's Colston upright, I must say the Stylectric is quite similar in my eyes. http://www.vacuumland.org/cgi-bin/TD/TD-VIEWTHREAD.cgi?17264

    vintage vacuum cleaners

Stylectric..... is it not an updated version of a vacuum that was sold under the spinney name in the 70's? I know someone posted pictures of the version they had just aquired, I can't for the life of me remember who it was or what the cleaner was called. It was pale blue.

    UK Guys - Catalogue Scans

I had the Dirt Devil upright shown in reply 9. Was a great cleaner with a metal sole plate, I let my B/F at the time borrow it, we then split up and he wouldn't give it back to me!!! Grrrr.

Pictorial thread of Hoover UK's Turbo models (turbopower etc)

Turbopowerpaul, I had a Turbo power junior same colour scheme as featured in reply 38 but the hood design was the same shape as reply 20 but with no headlight. I gave this to my sister when I bought a DC01 ( the breast cancer research model in silver and pale blue ), a decision I regretted...
