what vacuum is this? (golden girls eposide)

Thread Number: 8754 I think it was like the one pictured. That, or a vintage Oreck. I noticed a white vacuum hose in the garage background too, I'm not sure what episode it was though. Perhaps it was when they remodeled the garage or when they were trying to breed minks.

    Kirbys and metal fans.

Thread Number: 8640 I'm not a 100% sure, but I think the plastic fans are lighter and put less strain on the motor allowing it to go faster or something along those lines.

    A Rainbow D-4 Question??

Thread Number: 8346 A Rainbow D-4 Question?? I have that problem too. I can only suggest maybe bending the prongs a bit closer together. Other than that, I don't believe that there is really anything that can be done. It gets to be quite annoying, I can sympathize.

    American Electrolux or European Electrolux

Hello, I was just curious if anyone knew if the Electroluxes that were manufactured and or sold throughout Europe were made by the same Electrolux Company in America? I know that the American Electrolux company was just fairly recently bought out by the European Electrolux appliance company...

    Carpet Shampooer Brands

Hey There, I have been desperately trying to figure out some the carpet shampooer brands that existed in the late 1980's and early 1990's. I know there was Rug Doctor, Thermax and Rinse N' Vac. I remember some tall metal one but not the brand name. Also my Mother swears there was a brand called...

    TTI and Royal

Thread Number: 7029 Hey there, I was in the local vacuum shop a few weeks ago and I was wondering why Royals had gone down in quality at least for the canisters and uprights not including the Everlast Series, which even they have been made cheaper, but they still have the great power and all...

do you use straight suction on carpet?

Thread Number: 6939 Hello, I used to use straight suction sometimes when my power-head would break or my upright was in the shop, or when I was just in a hurry or lazy. For the most part it did an okay job. However, when compared to using the upright or powerhead, the difference was definately...

    Bagless Vs Bagged

Thread Number: 6821 Hey There, I think it probably depends on the vacuum. Although I prefer a bagged vacuum, some bagless vacuums clean well and yours just might have a better brushroll or more air flow than your bagged vacuum etc. But, I think that a more likely reason for all the fluff that...

    Vibra Vac carpet cleaner

Thread Number: 6625 Wow, I should have looked at your picture first. I have never seen a blue canister style Rug Doctor before. We only had red ones in my hometown. Maybe these blue ones were available for you to purchase yourself, like the blue ones are today. It's pretty neat though.

Thread Number: 6625 Hi there, I am pretty sure that the red Rug Doctor machines are rental units and blue Rug Doctor machines are for purchasing yourself. I remember it by Red for Rent, Blue to Buy. I thought it was pretty weird when I first saw the blue ones too, because I thought red was Rug...
