    Amway CleratTrak

Good quality vacs! They have an early design of the dual cyclone, with no cyclone shroud. It was a copy of James Dysons dual cyclone setup. I don't think it worked quite as efficiently as his though. I like the look of the Cleartrack. Very 80s looking. Is she going to get another? You can still...

    A Penneys find

The suction power on this one is pretty poor. I have never found car vacuums that plug into the lighter socket to be very effective cleaners.

    A Penneys find

I stopped by a local thrift store to have a look at what vacuums they had. In the hand vacuum section I found an interesting box, inside I found a J.C Penney car vacuum. I have never seen one quite like this before. Its missing the attachments, but I am always on the hunt for Penncrest or J.C...

What's the deal with this Hoover?

Seems like too much money for that to me. I could see one selling for good money if it had all its original parts. This one is in pretty sad condition. Plus it does look like a factory rebuild.

    Cord and plug original?

It has a replacement plug, but the cord itself appears original to me.

    A Hoover kind of find

I found this Hoover model 425 at an antique store near my house. It was $28.00. The bag and cord appear original to me. Am I right? The poor bumper appears to have crumbled off at some point, I will have to fix that later. It does run well Though! now I just need to find my polish!

    that ugly keeler thread

Steps to clean the filter. 1. Remove from dirt cup. 2. Brush dust until it is airborne. 3. Breathe in deep three times. 4. Spend the rest of the day blowing your nose/itching your eyes.

    Hoover Convertible belt breaking

I would try a genuine Hoover belt they seem to last much longer. My model 69 would go through generic belts in a matter of days, but I have been using the same genuine Hoover belt for almost a year.

    Still probllems with Hoover bags

That's too bad the quality has gone down like that. If you wanted you could still buy new old stock bags from Ebay. Such as this listing that I just found. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-31-Hoover-Type-D-Vacuum-Bags-for-Dial-A-Matic-Uprights-/291173786594?pt=US_Vacuum&hash=item43cb4f63e2
