    Model L

I bought an Electrolux Model L on ebay and when I received it, one wheel was totally cracked. The seller didn't use bubble wrap but brown paper to protect it which obviously didn't work. It was delivered by FedEx so they have a reputation of throwing boxes around. I hope no one here works for...

    Model LX Ejector issue

Never mind I found a way to fix it.

    Model LX Ejector issue

I am having an issue with the LX ejector where if I put my hand over the hose to stop the suction, the front door flies open and the ejector throws the bag. It is too soon since the bag is a new bag. Then I discovered that the tubing was bad and was not connected near the suction inlet. I...

    Woven Vacuum Hose Repair

Plasti-Dip in Hose I tested the hose this afternoon and seemed to work fine. It is still flexible. I guess the only trick is to make sure you get it on the sides of the entire length of the hose.

    Woven Vacuum Hose Repair

Plasti-Dip I just tried this Plasti-Dip on one of my hoses. I sprayed it in and shook it around and rolled it to coat the sides and I hung it up for a few minutes and I saw it dripping out, so I started rolling it again and shaking it. It is really a runny substance. I have it laying on the...

oh wow We had the canister vacuum in your first picture. I believe we had 2 of them and somehow they disappeared between moving. I know one of them, the hose went bad. I think our cleaning lady broke them and we threw them away like idiots. I will put the bags in the mail to you. Steve

Thanks! Andy, Thanks for helping out by taking your cord winder apart. At least we learned something about the cord winders. BTW, do you have any Kenmore canister machines? We had one and I have some bags for it and they are no use to me, so if you want them, send me an email where I can...

Worked out ok with Model xxx Hi Andy, The changing of the small cord from the cord winder to the canister was a success. All I had to do was remove the small cap with the nut on top and it exposed the wires. See the picture. Did you remove this cap when you took apart yours? Alex was...

Hi Andy, Thanks for looking into the cord winder and supplying the pictures. I found another cord winder on Ebay and it is for the LX, so it won't with the xxx. I probably can just change the plug to fit the xxx if I can't change the whole cord. We shall see...I get it on Tuesday.

I am totally not familiar with these Type T cord winders. That would be awesome Andy to see pictures. Appreciate it. Thanks.

There are 2 cords in the winder? Isn't it just one 20 foot cord? I maybe in for a challenge then.

Is it difficult to change the power cord? Reason I am asking I may need to change the power cord for the LX I just purchased.

Thanks Thanks Andy for the pictures. I guess I can get a cord winder for the LX and just change the power cord to fit the model xxx. It is hard to come by a cord winder for the xxx with the correct cord. Did you ever change the cord in the winder?

What is the difference between the two Andy, What is the difference between the two attaching it to the machine? Is it not the same? The only difference I see is the cord.

I finally found a Type T cord winder for the LX but still searching one for the xxx. If I find another one with the cord for the LX, can I change it to use the xxx cord? Do they use the same Type T cord winder?

    Electrolux hose for model 1453

Hey Charles Richard Lester, I altered the hose to fit my Model xxx. I snapped off and filed down the metal for the power nozzle and hammered down the small metal tabs so that it will fit and lock in. The hose has no leaks and the suction on my Model xxx is great now.

    Electrolux Hose for Model 1453

Forget about this. I'm keeping the hose. :) I altered the hose to fit my Model xxx by snapping off and filing down the 2 pieces of metal on the sides I guess for the electric power nozzle and hammered down the 2 pieces of metal further down and it fits nice and snug and locks in. Great suction...
