Kenmore Imperial (Bugeye) for sale on eBay (Buy it Now OBO)

I also have a pristine original example, and I'd bet my award-winning 1965 (Chrysler) Imperial Crown Coupe that it would sell for a HELL of a lot more than the one I am currently selling on eBay (which by the way, is open to offers as indicated by the "make offer" button). I listed my operable...

Kenmore Imperial (Bugeye) for sale on eBay (Buy it Now OBO)

Tom, First of all, kindly go "eff" yourself. Secondly, you know damn well how much these are worth, and your post was completely rude and uncalled for. You take pleasure in screwing people over, cheating, lying, and stealing for your own personal gain. I'm sure your bugeye was a donation to...

Kenmore Imperial (Bugeye) for sale on eBay (Buy it Now OBO)

The original bag is constructed very simply, just 2 flat panels sewn together, and the graphic is not complicated, and all white. Should be pretty easy for someone well versed on a sewing machine to make. Mike Balda is making repro bags for various stuff, maybe he could help out whoever the new...

    Selling Most of My Collection - 1920s / 1930s / 1940s / 1950s

Mostly pre-war stuff, all in very nice completely usable condition. I tend to only buy and collect the best I can find. Everything will be going on eBay gradually as time permits, and will be listed as Buy It Now or Best Offer. Any reasonable offers are welcome and will be taken into...

Selling My Kirby 505 with Original Hose, Attachments, Boxes, and Rare Floor Polisher

I highly value my 100% positive feedback score and since the machine was legitimately bought and payed for (and fortunately to a somewhat local buyer, so I don't have to pack or ship it) I must honor the sale. I am a man of my word, by cancelling the purchase because I didn't get what I wanted...

Selling My Kirby 505 with Original Hose, Attachments, Boxes, and Rare Floor Polisher

For the sake of not letting this crime against me be nameless, I am attaching the public announcement that was made regarding my eBay auction. Additionally, I am including proof that the accusations were completely false (notice how the username of "o***b (private)" that Will was so certrain...

Selling My Kirby 505 with Original Hose, Attachments, Boxes, and Rare Floor Polisher

Someone stole this for only $310, thanks to a few malicious "collectors" spreading rumors (blatant lies) that the auction was rigged via a Facebook group that I do not have access to. If that were true, I would have made sure it brought more than it did. My 510 brought more than this, it's truly...

Selling My Kirby 505 with Original Hose, Attachments, Boxes, and Rare Floor Polisher

Thanks for the compliment Brandon! I think you're right about the sweet-aire. While the product existed in the 40s as a room freshener, Kirbys did not have a plug for it until the 509 or 510 I believe.

Selling My Kirby 505 with Original Hose, Attachments, Boxes, and Rare Floor Polisher

It's not really all that surprising that someone bid more than $25. An original round-end Belden cord alone is worth at least 3 times that, and I have 2 of them included with this machine.

Selling My Kirby 505 with Original Hose, Attachments, Boxes, and Rare Floor Polisher

There is no reserve. You probably didn't bid enough to outbid the current high bidder.

I Want old Kirby cleaner units

No offense, but the machines you are looking for are among the rarest and most expensive of the Kirby line. To find these free or cheap, you need to find them out in the wild, not from another collector. Best of luck!

Selling My Kirby 505 with Original Hose, Attachments, Boxes, and Rare Floor Polisher

Larry, I find it a bit rude to pick apart a machine I personally restored by hand. While it doesn't have a machine-buffed shine, it is well restored and shines just fine (could probably use a touch up, sure). For the record, one of those other machines WAS mine, I sold it in as found condition...

Selling My Kirby 505 with Original Hose, Attachments, Boxes, and Rare Floor Polisher

Thanks for the compliment. I didn't put a reserve in hopes that a few fair bids would come in and the market could determine the value. I know 505s come up for sale occasionally, but I've never seen one this complete sell, so it's hard to say what it's worth. I do know it's worth a hell of a lot...
