It's not really all that surprising that someone bid more than $25. An original round-end Belden cord alone is worth at least 3 times that, and I have 2 of them included with this machine.

No offense, but the machines you are looking for are among the rarest and most expensive of the Kirby line. To find these free or cheap, you need to find them out in the wild, not from another collector. Best of luck!

Larry, I find it a bit rude to pick apart a machine I personally restored by hand. While it doesn't have a machine-buffed shine, it is well restored and shines just fine (could probably use a touch up, sure). For the record, one of those other machines WAS mine, I sold it in as found condition...
