    Another Restored Hoover 700

Looks like I have twins now! Referring to the vacuum kind of course! This took quite awhile to finish up. My drill/buffer bit the dust and I had to hand polish this one for a good 4 hours. The standard terry cloth and Mother's polish didn't cut it so I had to use fine grade 000 steel wool with...

    Hoover Dustette age/information?

Come to think of it almost all Dustettes hail from England. I have a model 1015 and from what I read it ranges from the early to mid 50s. The model 2720 you possess might be from the late 50s early 60s judging by the style and color scheme. Certainly the one I've never seen! The most common are...

    Electrolux Model G

That sounds like it could be it. Either way I think a thorough inside cleaning is in order. I don't have the liquid spray febreeze on me at the moment, but I think a light brushing with simple green/water should clean up the felt padding lining in the motor chamber.

    Electrolux Model G

I'll give the scented Downey beads a shot. Just gotta remember to pick some up the next time I head to the super market. Thanks mchmike Love the setup you have there! Yikes that is rather pricey. The vac shop also told me an electric hose is rather expensive. I don't have a PN-1 and I don't...

    Electrolux Model G

I suppose that could be it, considering there's no exhaust filter on this model. Glad to hear its nothing to worry about!

    Electrolux Model G

Well it finally happened, along side Hoover, I am hooked on Electrolux. This really nice example was given to me by a good friend and fellow vac enthusiast, Rick. It'll be well taken care of and maintained until I kick the bucket. I had just given it a thorough outside cleaning, polishing and...

    Bee vac problems.

Did you try running it without the belt on? Does the motor shaft not turn freely by hand? Did you check the carbon motor brushes? If all that checks out then I'm not exactly sure what else it could be. -Alex

    Bee vac problems.

To me sounds like gunked up bearings could be the issue. 50+ years of dust and gunk could be residing within the motor housing. If it has sleeved bronze bearings, my advice would be to clean out the motor housing of any dirt/gunk and place 3 drops of Zoom Spout oil on the bearing where the...

Kenmore Imperial (Bugeye) for sale on eBay (Buy it Now OBO)

Now that's something you don't see everyday! Looks to be in amazing shape and pretty easy to bring back to its original luster (except of course for the bag but that's not an issue really) Who ever buys this will have quite a lovely piece to their collection.

    "What am I? Chopped liver?"

Hope these beauties find nice homes. It's kinda of bummer not too many are heading out, I was practically drooling over some of these! I'm actually 65 miles away from LA but sadly I'm not all too confident in driving in such a quick paced/multi-street city. I'm not too sure of anyone my age...

    Convertible LED lamp fail

The one I bought does have more led modules but it was meant for a sewing machine and 120 volt rated as well. Mind sending in a link from which seller you bought yours from? -Alex

    Convertible LED lamp fail

Its been a while since I last made a post here so I figured it was about time I'd make an update. The bulb in my Convertible (model 69) had bit the dust after years of service, so I went out to my local vac shop and bought an incandescent bulb (for $6 I might add!..) I brought it home and...

    P.A. Geier Model 81

I should have known it was a Royal...then again browsing in the late night while running on E didn't help matters either. Thanks for the information Tom, really appreciate it! The upright goes really well with the hand vac, a neat pair for sure.

    P.A. Geier Model 81

Every now and then I find a few oddities and this is one of them. I've never heard of this company before. Maybe someone can share in information on these? I'm quite curious to know! The machine itself appears to be in relatively good shape however its missing its cord. It would also appear...

Hoover Model 69 P.O.V vacuuming video

Well I'm a tad under the weather [due to allergy season] but I still wanted to make a video of the 69 running. I never see POV [point of view] of cleaners in action so I'd figure I'd stick my suction cup mount, a camera, and film my machine in action LOL. I will get a proper video out soon but...
