    Help..... Kenmore Canister Problem

A pic of the machine would be a good reference. I'm thinking it's one of the older "suitcase style" machines. The oval "Sears Best" sticker was usually found on the front of the bag lid, near the carry handle. If it has the rare variable speed (with rotary dial), there could be an electronic...

    Vacuum Cleaner Biz

Chris, When I had my "real" store, I sold Royal and Panasonic mostly, and did well. 2006 was the last good year. By 2008, things took a big downturn. Also, the strip mall my store was in went under new management, and the rent went up considerably. Sales weren't like the previous years...

    Dyson DC07 without a clutch?

To convert to a non-clutch setup, you more or less replace the entire cleaning head/ base assembly. Costly venture.

    Other than duct tape?

There is an aftermarket hose available for that front-mount type of hose. The handle is different though, and it uses generic pigtails at the ends for the electrical connections. As for the Kenmore with the top-mount hose, you can get a replacement Panasonic hose for a V9640. New hoses are...

    Vacuum Cleaner Biz

I'm dealing with the same people all the time, vacu-finder. Things are tough, and not getting any easier. My quality machines, the better stuff, sits around much longer than most everything else. For a while, I refused to sell bottom-feeder Dirt Devils and Bissells. The way things are anymore...

Air impact wrench set in reverse with the right socket. Works every time, easiest way. That is, if you do have the tools.

    Kenmore and Panasonic Canisters

That first line was supposed to read "A story of many variables". What's also worth mentioning, is that the Panasonic can's pre-1993 or so were made-in-Japan units that had no connection with Whirlpool at all. They were different machines altogether. Good stuff as well. I guess the guys at...

    Kenmore and Panasonic Canisters

It's a story or many varibles There was the cross-over period of the early 90's that saw the vac production of Whirlpool go to Panasonic's oversight. The Whispertone series canister (rounded on one side, flat on the other) were the last of Whirlpool design. Panasonic and Kenmore cans were very...

C-5/ 5055 is not the correct bag. Those are for the full-size cans. Use the C-4.
