CheeseWonton, where in the patent application did it say that?
They were heavy too. I remember trying one at a Miele dealer and a couple of minutes playing had me sweating. The twist feature put a lot of weight on the handle. Nein danke.Manufacturers often forget misuse/abuse. The Miele S7/U1 range is an excellent example of that.
The Miele Salsa is pretty tough. I've got one I got as a box of dismantled parts the seller was selling, he had taken all the screws and the soleplate, and was selling the rest of it as a lot. No idea why. The vacuum had also been in a flood and the motor is covered in surface rust. I put it all back together and got all the parts back in place after it took me 5 years to get the correct OEM screws which I had to import from the UK, and it just started up and ran. The motor needs a good burnishing with a wire brush and get all the rust crust off, but otherwise it's a fully working vacuum.Manufacturers often forget misuse/abuse. The Miele S7/U1 range is an excellent example of that.
