yes don't want to upset anyone. we have to behave nowadays. and watch what we say. speak when spoken too. sorry to bring up politics, but this reminds me of our lib eral gov we have running our country. no free freedom of speech, prices up, can't even hang our national flag without getting called out. churches are burning, and if we say anything we bad and go to jail. while the real criminals just get a slap in the wrist. it's like walking all over eggshells today. in one thread i asked a question, and it was related to the topic, i was respectful, just a question on if he ever had an issue with one part of the vacuum cleaner that was one discussed in the topic. he got all mad and told me to start another thread. wow. i guess we can't ask questions. like i said, speak when spoken. and Keith sorry for making you mad. what i meant to say is, sorry for OFFENDING you. When i was putting a comment on here i was discussing my AP100, just LIKE YOURS, but the different versions they had. first came with power nozzle V next power nozzle 100 which looked the same as the power nozzle 200 and 280 in the AP 200 and 280 Electrolux vacuum cleaners respectfully. I guess i shouldn't have talked about the side kick, which came with machine. i know that originally didn't come furnished with the AP 100. let this be a learning lesson for me. and i thank you for correcting us. i will use this when i'm in other sites, or in real world situations.

Oh come on now ..... hes alll caught up in his mint vacuum i bet h e neveer had to fixa rusty bolt in his collection like the rest of us pesant F THAT ......... He was asking about a attachement that come wih the the electrolux vacuum cleaner this is an electrolux thread after all no one got off topic but noooo ......... Yes a dear kind client of mine got me a free electrolux ap 280 delux with all the tools on it i added the combo dusting brush and upolstery tool and crevice tool a new bag filter and she runs like brand new needs her cord fix insulaytion as come off at the very end of the cord rewing bit but i just dont pull the whole cord out ansd shes fine...
need to fix the contact i nthe inlket hole so the hose dont make it turn off when i t move but other than that she runs fine just got to b e gentle with it

I began reading this thread from the most recent posts and was surprised that my friend, Keither, had supposedly posted something unkind according to some of the comments by others afterward.

So I scrolled back until I found his comment on post #25:
"Please start your own thread re maintenance on Aerus Electrolux related accessories. This post was specifically created to for the Canadian Electrolux AP100. Thanks"

I'm stumped as to how this was perceived in any negative way. I see a logical request made in a respectful way.

I have received similar requests from Keither and others from time to time when I've hi-jacked threads. At first, I failed to understand them, too (but I obliged without responding). Then at one point I got it when using the archives for specific information only to find that the conversations veered off-topic, which messed with my research and were also of no particular interest to me at those times. So, I have learned the value of staying on thread topics; if I forget, I appreciate kind reminders like Keith's in post #25 to begin new threads for new topics. When I do, I post a link to it in the thread where the conversation started to go off-topic—easy-peasy.

Such decisions are done out of consideration for others instead of being "made" to do so.


So in the future I encourage everyone to ask for clarification from a poster if it seems that they are being unfriendly or bossy (in this case, I'm confident that you would have found Keith to be both kind and reasonable), or to just comply with a forum request even if it's no big deal to you. If you were to get a snarky or mean response, it would be best to just let it go; in that case it could be that he (or anyone else) were having a bad day or in a difficult season. Neither would make it right, but it would keep the conversation from going from bad to worse.

Vacuumland is at its best when we are tactful, patient, and kind with/to one another. It's at its worst when the opposite occurs like some of those later comments in this thread ... AND when others refrain from mediating—which is my purpose for this post.

To those of you who took offense, thank you for rethinking your view of Keither and his request and giving him a break. If you still have it in for him, your silence will be appreciated in his future posts. I maintain that he's a good guy and a wonderful contributor to VL; and as far as I'm concerned post #25 was no exception.

I will appreciate if you take my advice, but please keep from responding either way. Let's let any future posts on this thread be about the AP100.

I'm in almost constant pain due to kidney issues since November 2025 all the way in January 2026so my patience is thin now a days I'm sorry I took it wrong I am on HYDROMORPHONE medicine for my right kidney so I'm angry cuz I'm in pain and no one can find out why or give me a good solid answer.
I will take it with a grain of salt and be kind . I am sorry but pain for months would make anyone touchy
