Here's a 11 page photo gallery of Electrolux Europe's image library that I found while on the Internet. They just dumped their entire historical image library from the 1900s to the early 2000s all in one big photo gallery with absolutely no rhyme or reason or explanation to the images. It's from Europe so it centers mainly on their regional models of appliances or home care products, but it covers everything Electrolux sold all over the world from China to Cuba! They all have hi-res downloads available, and a lot of these images I've never seen before! It's fun to click through!

Good stuff ! The car made to look like a big vacuum cleaner made me laugh.

Thank you for sharing these! Thought it was interesting that they also had pics of Westinghouse washers, dryers, and ranges. The pair that said "White-Westinghouse might have been made during the time I worked at the Mansfield Westinghouse plant!

That's cool about the washer/dryers and ranges. I know how stuff like that makes the antenna twitch.

On a similar vein there is a helicopter on display on the USS Midway in San Diego that my logbook shows I flew seven times for a total of 14 hours. When I saw it and look at the BUNO ( Bureau Number, sort of a serial number every Navy aircraft has ) the hair on my neck stood up. I wrote the number down and probably the first thing I did after coming home was to find my log book to see if I flew it. Yep!

I also get the same feeling when I see a road grader, roller, or crane that has the name GALION on it, as I worked at Galion Iron Works for 6 years, most of that time as a heavy equipment mechanic in the Changeover department. We repaired defects, put on missing parts, and added options to the units, doing mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic work, depending on what was needed. The only parts that we DIDN'T work on were engines and transmissions, as they were on warranty from their manufacturers, which included Detroit Diesel, International, and Waukesha for the engines and Borg Warner and Allison for the transmissions. If an engine or tranny was defective, we swapped it out and sent it back. One of the best places I ever worked!
