If it ends up breaking, you can call Bryan Satterwhite in Richmond Virginia, he shipped me a top door for my upright since my bag compartment was in good shape. (804) 527-2775
I'm amazed Hoover offers a 5 year warranty on "box store" vacuum. A common problem on these machines is the plastic breaking off that holds the adjustment wheels in place. I've had to warranty a few of these for that reason. As long as it doesn't get dropped or abused, you should be okay.
The Oreck PT-57 & PT-357 canisters and Bigfoot (CAP175) power nozzle were made by Mastercraft. Whirlpool only made the power nozzle pictured below that was also used with the early variations of the machine. The Whirlpool head was also bundled with Rainbow D series units.

WOW! I remember seeing these in stores along with Kenmore Powerspin which was a facelifted Hoover Dual V.
It appears to be a Dirt Devil Floorkeeper Plus which worked on hard floor and carpet with the change of the head. I don't think it was ever released in the US under the Dirt Devil name...
That bag is original. At least it has the belt cover. I remember a member on here selling Comvac 1300s that were new in the box for less than what this seller is offering.
This thread will help you replace the needle bearing. I used this method to fix a noisy Concept Two and it worked wonders.
The real hero here is broomvac for finding the correct needle bearing. Just make sure you grease it prior to installation and keep note of where the old bearing sat so you...
I linked the button kit below. There's a listing that just sells the arm and one that sells the arm with the button. The color may not be an exact match if aesthetics is your concern. I would prefer to purchase the kit in case your button fails during installation or later on. That's just my...
I came up with this idea years ago with sheet metal shims, but never pursued finishing it lol. I found that a Windsor Versamatic brush strip fits in place, but needs a ziptie in between the brushroll core.
This is a great solution. Keep it up!
Don't get me wrong. It was definitely meant to be removed, but those handles were always shipped in an assembled state for shipping. You should be able to void your shipping label and purchase another one.
It will be a little more than what you paid originally, but this will be a lesson learned...
You can't remove the handle from a self propelled Concept or Dial A Matic for shipping. I've shipped out many units and the drive cable along with the wiring was not meant to be tampered with unless it was being serviced.
Hoover even shipped them in one piece to the stores and dealers. That's...
