losers weepers finders sweepers
I have really good luck finding Eluxes and other vacuums in the trash, but not so lucky when looking for washers and dryers. Oh well. Yeah, found this next to a dumpster at an apartment building that houses a lot of grad students. I imagine someone's mother is...
Unbelievable!!!
I love those machines. I have 3 of them and they are so perfect in their own bizarre short-sheeted little way. Thank you so much for posting pictures from the manual. I've never seen an S manual before.
I keep an Electrolux moth-ball vaporizer on the front of my S just to wrap...
Just found an old(I assume)Kirby "Heritage II-Turbo" vacuum that someone put it the trash. HEAVY monster of a machine; cast aluminum housing, black and red markings, gray dust bag with red markings and black and red bag clip. The machine runs; I took it home and emptied the bag(which had about...
Red with envy
I've been looking for a Canadian red or red and cream Elux ever since I got my Z89(one of the best in my collection, I might add). I think I have a manual that is relevant. I'll find it and scan it.
BTW: What are you doing in China? Have always dreamed of finding work there.
ebay is probably reacting to this economy
That kills me because the one I got from ebay cost me over 300 dollars( I don't know what I was thinking). That one was in MINT condition with all its original attachments plus the S hose (which is beautiful). It looks like one of your AF's. Wish I...
Mlle Hamilton,
I'm kind of shocked by that price too. The AF was our first Electrolux and it lasted for a good twelve years and beyond given that it was handled by a brute of a user and at the end of its life was held together by strips of masking and electrical tape. I always wanted to see...
I just think it's neat. Looks like a canister vacuum crossed with an old Kodak "Brownie". I'm in the same boat; the last thing I need right now (just been told I need a new oil tank AND a new oil boiler) is another ebay purchase.
Someone should grab this. It's just too interesting!

A Darwinian extinction
I have the blue one in the middle of that picture, and although I appreciate its style and design, I can easily see why the Dial-a-Matics were discontinued: they were very loud, their dust bags were fairly small (especially when compared to the Hoover top-fill "A" bags)...
Oh Honey Lambs!!!!
It's fittin', it's fittin'....it's just fittin'!!!!
The Deed is done and I am a BELIEVER! I've just experienced a renuvacuu-sance. The Hoover hose is connected to the Elux and I am a vacuuming fool. I guess ALL of my vintage Elux hoses are suffering some degree of...
How?
Please tell me/us how you made that graft--this is EXACTLY what I would like to do.
1. How did you remove the electolux machine end coupler from its original hose and,
2. How did you splice the hoover hose onto it??
