Yes, I agree it's a lovely vacuum. But I have =never= seen a Model F go for that kind of dough -- and there have been a couple that have appeared on eBay that were far lovelier and more complete, including one not too long ago with everything under the sun that came with it, all the optional accessories and stuff, plus the original box, instruction manual, packages of vintage unused bags, etc etc etc, and it didn't go nearly that high. The F simply is not old-enough a machine to be considered that rare, unless, of course, it has the original (and the first for Electrolux) power nozzle. Anyway. Not going to keep plotzing over this, I was just amazed that's all. Guess someone just really, reeeeeeeally wanted it!!
