Do geared belts provide more torque than traditional rubber belts?

You just had to bring up timing belts didn’t you After doing a recent belt change on a Lexus LX470, I will say, cogged vacuum belts are the way to go. They don’t work, however, when the belt has a twist as in say…a Kirby.

Dirt devil hand vac “Car Vac”

I recently acquired the 12V version of the dirt devil hand vac for use in the car, it plugs into a cigar lighter. Sadly, it is missing the belt cover plug. I also am on the prowl for a paper bag adapter. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to search for such things?

    Iterations of the Rainbow PN2.

I personally wouldn’t use a PN on bare floors either. That and I really love the new bare floor brush which is nice and wide. My only quibble about bare floor brushes is how clumped up they get with dog hair.

    Iterations of the Rainbow PN2.

So as I’ve said before, my daily workhorse is a Rainbow E2 single speed. This has the PN2E. Well a D4SE with the PN2 popped up for $25 on Facebook marketplace locally, and I was drunk, so I ubered it out there and bought it. I cleaned out the motor/fans/housing/yatta yatta. I also overhauled...

Well poo!! I’m not a fan of spending $2000 on a Kirby but I would have forked it over to him in a split second! He was such a wonderful and kind person! I had no idea he was closing up shop.

    Rainbow SRX

Actually, I have keep the E upgraded throughout the years. It has the wet pickup electric hose, as well as the current Aquamate. I also have the Minijet for it. The power nozzle is…not so impressive…and I had the sole plate crack on me the other day, so that’s getting replaced. I think the...

    Rainbow SRX

All- After dailying an original single-speed Rainbow E series for years, I am debating trading up for an SRX. My local distributor quoted $3200 which seems…inflated. Is this in the correct ballpark? Or is it indeed inflated?

    Kirby Selling Online Now

It’s pricey but not outrageous. Considering it’s an all metal product, I can’t balk too much at the price. Especially considering that I’m pretty sure new Rainbows are around 3200-3300 now.
