    Vibra Beat Descendant?

I have one; it works great! I use it on the upholstery and whenever I vacuum my mattress. I use it with my Kirby and the curved wand from my Legend. It looks like an original attachment!

    Vacuum of the day

There is no evidence of a cord. I can see how it would have made the shot look messy. I suspect Charles is right. It must have been airbrushed out of the picture.

    Vacuum of the day

I had the same reaction today...honestly it's quite remarkable! When I looked at the picture this moring I thought, "look that bag is inflated; never noticed that before even though I have seen this so many times; but she wouldn't be carrying the vacuum upstairs while it was running!" Then I...

    New Kirby Info

Kirbys ...can't beat 'em!!!! I have to agree completely with Morgan. I have not found any vaccuum as clean and odor free as the Kirby with filtrete bags including Electrolux which I sold for 4 years in college. I find the enclosed cases with bags develop an odor unless you use a new bag each...

    Kirby Forum Website Problem????

Does anyone know / understand what is going on with the Kirby Forum Website. The last two days I have tried to log into it and I get this rediculous "Kirby Game," web page that is obviously a spoof; but there appears no way to actually enter the site. This is the address I have been using...

    PLANS FOR STAN KANN'S VACUUMS

What a wonderful outcome! How absolutely right for such a display to honor the memory of Stan. I can't wait to see it. Bruce

    New Electrolux model

Loud New Lux...! I am not surprised if they are cost cutting. I guess they took out some of the insulation that kept the noise down. Ironically, when the 1205 came out they actually did this on purpose to increase the noise. Some research demonstrated that the Model G was too quiet!!! Go...

    Heard Anything

I would love to see a redo of the 560 [red color with gray bag etc and traditional attachments] with modern flitration, 2 speed motor and all the suction power and brush quality of the G series. For me, that would be a prize!!! I always thought the 516 through 560 series was the most elegant...

    Kirby Shine (Keeping it up)

Stan Kann on keeping up shine When visiting Stan Kann a number of years ago, he told the group of us that he used Glass Wax to keep up shine on his vacs. I have not tried it myself, but he said as long as he wiped them down with Glass Wax once per month, he had no problem keeping up the shine.

    New Kirby...???

A while back there was a thread in which several members indicated they thought a new Kirby model was on the horizon and might be out this spring. Has there been and further information on this?

    Kirby Rebuild

Kirby Factory Rebuild and Original Trim Somewhere I recall a while back on a similar thread, someone said that you could request Kirby to keep the original trim and bag etc. of the machine you sent and they would use it and restore it as best they could. Obviously it would have to be decent...

Using a "brand new in the box" Kirby 519 today ... or is there a better way?

Preserve the pristine 519 Kirby...! Let me add my support to the idea of keeping the Kirby 519 pristine. I wouldn't use it. Late 500 series Kirbys pop up quite regularly on eBay, usually complete with attachments. And often late 500 attachments are available too; so if you find the main unit...

What Is This? Model AE, AF, or modified AE?

This is an AE that has been modified for a power nozzle.

    What Kinda Convertible is this

A new Convertible.... The 100'th anniversary convertible represents a tragic recycling of a name that should have been left alone. But no; instead the new company [what is it: TTI?] changed the whole concept of the convertible so that it is unrecognizable. Instead of "convertible," meaning...
