    kirby DS50 and DS80, any difference?

    According to The Kirby dealer in my hometown who started out selling D-50s, the D-50 was hard on motor brushes when used with attachments,They redesigned the motor for the D-80, the D-80 was ,according to them, one of the best Kirbys they ever sold.

    I have two Model 44 Lewyts, Tom is right, they use a cone similar to a Filter Queen except it has no tabs .

    This was The last GE upright made until the U1 came out in 1959, this was made in 1952, It was a wonderfully well built powerful machine but the automatic height adjustment was prone to give problems.

    Our Kirby dealer Told me back when the Classic was out that some kid got the hose when his Mother had got called away for a moment He put it to his eye and it pulled it right out, This was supposed to be a true story and Kirby, rather than get sued over something like that, drilled the holes...
