Well worth $80. They sold new for over $2000. The Sebo ET350 power nozzle alone is worth well over $80. It's one of the all time great power nozzles. A pair of standard 1 1/4 inch diameter 19 inch long friction fit wands and a simple parquet floor brush are all you need to use this on hard floors. They are simple and super durable vacuums. I have this exact same model. Is this vacuum worth $80? Does it work well on hard wood floors? View attachment 171406
What's annoying is that Schoettler puts the button lock farther up the spout than you find for Kenmore, Eureka, Tristar or standard central vacuum wands and the spout itself has a bit of a taper compared to a central vacuum hose end. Same for the upper wand with cord control for the power nozzle. You can't plug a standard central vacuum hose handle into the Schoettler wand. Won't fit. You would have to change the metal spout. Schoettler made it so you have to use a Schoettler specific wand, or you just use the generic friction fit wands.Welcome to Vacuumland! I think it would be worth the $80, and whether or not it would work well on bare floors depends on if there is a full set of attachments with it or just what's shown in the picture. You should be able to pick up a floor brush fairly cheap on ebay, and a generic one should fit if you can't find one specifically for Patriot. It kind of looks like an overbuilt Compact or Tristar, so one from one of those makes should fit as well.

Suction and airflow on these are modest due I think to the small diameter of the hose and exhaust opening, but no better or worse than a Tristar. The hose spouts on each end have an internal diameter of 28mm or 1.1 inches. I guess the "1 1/4" refers to the outside diameter. 28 cfm airflow and around 65 inches of water gauge both measured at the end of the hose. Same as a Tristar DXL, which incidentally uses the exact same Ametek motor. Their virtues are simplicity and durability. They are also fairly easy to use and don't make you bust a sweat or work around a lot of quirks. But they are no fun to empty cleanly and I think this is why they end up cheap on eBay.Buy it! Very high end door to door vacuum, they never sold many. I certainly do not see them that often. Very lucky that one still has its power nozzle, most times these come up for sale the nozzle is long gone. I seen them often and have TriStars but never was able to get one of these for a good price. They look like good performing vacuums. The car air cleaner filter on the back is hilariously goofy, TriStar had an attachment like that too.
