That comment calliing kirbys "dangerous" came from vacuumfacts. He says they are dangerously heavy and they could break a toe. It was a joke basically.
It may be a joke, but it's true. It can damage your toe. You're supposed to be careful. That comment calliing kirbys "dangerous" came from vacuumfacts. He says they are dangerously heavy and they could break a toe. It was a joke basically.
Sigh. V-F can't tell the difference between real innovation and cheap gimmicks. The great majority of vacuums sold today are only incrementally changed from what was being made 50-60 years ago. Some of us would argue that materials, workmanship and even the performance of modern vacuums are a huge step backwards from what was around 50 years ago. What once was a durable and reliable household appliance that could reasonably be expected to last 20 years and was repairable if something broke is now a cheap throw away item that seldom make it to the five year mark, much less twenty. It may be a joke, but it's true. It can damage your toe. You're supposed to be careful.
@Vacuum Facts love modern innovations. I understand him about that.
You can find the newest Kirby Platinum on Marketplace for 250 complete. You can also find the Aviler I & II's for under 250 complete for as low a 100. I just got an Aviler II on marketplace complete for 40 in my area. You should check marketplace first before eBay. The market is absolutely saturated with used kirby's..they are not worth new when you can buy one used and still have it restored for less than 400.Now seems to be the time to buy Kirby’s on eBay, there are several at a good price. For a while, there was nothing under $250. I toyed with getting another but I think two are enough for me.
