Enter the model numbers in Sears Parts Direct and see what the part number is for each model's motor.

They are different part numbers and they looks a bit different. The typical thing to do in the repair business would be to take them both apart and just compare the motor, make sure it will fit and that the same electrical connections exist.

While the vacuum bodies are identical other than their color, the motors are different and they use different rubber mounts between the fan case and the body. The rear mount is the same for both however. Looking at the diagrams and images in Sears Parts Direct that first model number uses a Panasonic motor and the second one uses a Cinderson motor.

Those motors and their rubber mounts always turn up on eBay. And that old Kenny just happens to be a darned good vacuum. Humble and basic but they do the job. Easy to take apart. Sanitize that puppy, replace the exhaust filter ( still available ), put the good CF-1 pre motor filter in it, use a genuine Kenmore brand synthetic Style Q HEPA dust bag ( never use anything but genuine Kenmore brand filters and bags which you can order from Walmart on line ) and it'll last a lifetime. Which of the two models do you have?
