I just call it ghetto because everything doesn’t match up and the coupling used is a mere PVC pipe I heat manipulated.

Awhile ago there was an Electrolux Versatility on ShopGoodwill that had the missing filter cover replaced with a cut up license plate.

There is no "correct" term. There is hundreds of words for the same meaning - both regional, local, and pertaining to your individual life experiences. Society is dumbing-down from all the phone exposure so their brains can't handle the fact that there is so many words that mean the same thing, so they demand and lambast that people use the word THEY use and force you to be like them, so that they do not have to adapt.

I once took out the filter and motor from an old beam unit and put a kirby hose (machine end) into the place of the motor. I used an amway lower hose to go into a tellus/nilfisk gs82 dual motor industrial vacuum. I must admit it worked fairly well at seperating dirt.
