Finding a lid might take a few years ! I had to stalk eBay for literally over a year to find one for my 1748b. Most are broken in use. In my case a whole tool tray with the lid turned up. It happens but you have to patiently stalk eBay daily and be ready to buy the instant one goes on sale.Thank you for the tips! I found tools last night, just no lid for the tool pack. I’ll keep watching…
The suction is disappointing as compared to our 20 year old Dyson and 25 year old Kenmore. Also the “seal” between the bag and the hose inlet is really not very good. Does anyone have a photo of theirs? I feel like something is missing to make that seal better. We had a Ward’s version of this vacuum years ago but I just can’t remember the bag inlet seal. I just remember it had enough suction that I could hang it off my arm, Lol.They are on eBay. Poke around using different terms in the search window. I see those attachments all the time.
Btw, great vacuum. They clean well and run forever. I run one of those pleated dome shaped pre-motor filters for Pro-Team back pack vacuums on mine. I also trim the mounting card of an Electroux OX synthetic HEPA dust bag to fit the Eureka bag mount and run that. Between the two the machine stays clean inside and there is no dust except maybe an infinitesimal amount of carbon dust in the exhaust, but no household dust.
Great TOL Roto-Matic Power Team, mass-marketed from 1983 to 1989. The MOL 1783 was similar in styling and features but had the conventiona l uncovered Tool-Pak nubs, and the BOL 1777 had that same Tool-Pak and less power. The 3715 was the canister (sans the Roto-Matic). Matching Forest Green F & G uprights are the 2090 and 2091, and Wide Track 4036. Ask Jimmy if he has a cover at the store he's closing: 423-268-4841Hello. I just got a Eureka 1784B and Im looking for a couple of the onboard tools and the clear plastic cover. Any leads- particularly for the tool storage cover- would be very welcome!View attachment 169086
