Not a 'Vacuum Cleaner'

If you make vacua (pl. of 'Vacuum') cleaner, then you are probably a 'Getter'... ;-)

That's one for 'Tolivac'... ;-)

Interesting thought, though.....

All best

Getter for tubes-yes,finishs the vacuum inside-and helps maintain it.Same as with vacuum capacitors.another funky thought-If you collect enough vacuum cleaners---will you turn into one?Just the other day bought a ShopVac 14Gal wsith a smoked clear dust bin.You can use their HEPA style bags in it.Came with one installed-used the vacuum to pick up the bulky stuff in my garage-works well. The only new Shop Vac I have bought under their brand-this one is quite nice.Lowes has them.Forgot the model type offhand.
Oh for the orig thought of this thread-yes have vacuumed the vacuum!helpted out in a couple of vac shops. And you get to see the weird, funky things people try to pick up!!!Esp LIVE fireplace or woodstove ash and almost burn their house down!!!The nail polish bottle that spills green nail polish when pulled out of the hose neck in a Dyson cleaner!Doggy doo in Rainbows and TriStars!GROSS!!!!!!!

A vacuum cleaner? Me? Vacuum de-clogger more like, especially if refurbs from charity shops are anything to go by.

Reminds me of when I last bought a Hoover Junior. Mate of mine wanted one for ages (not a collector) and pointed out one near his home. Duly purchased for £30, had a PAT test on it.

However, it was seriously blocked up with dirt. Took me a few good hours to clean it out, de-clog it and then have a shower afterwards. Such is the life of a collector if you rescue old vacs.
