Yes.

Well, Agnes Mooreheads's father was a minister (preacher), and was personal friends with Boss Hoover. Her family became friendly with industrial designer, Henry Dreyfuss. who designed NUMEROUS HOOVER products. (He also designed steam locomotives, Singer Sewing machines, the famous Honeywell thermometer
(THE Cinnamon bun). Agnes's favorite color was lavender. THey designed the HOOVER Convertible "Special" in lavender for her!!
In the movie, "Who's Minding The Store?", starring Jerry Lewis and Agnes (Mrs. Tuttle of Tuttle's Dept Store). the entire line of HOOVER products was seen on display. You all know that end scene, with the GAG Convertible model 68....
They never mentioned the word HOOVER, but, it was there. Every company in America wanted their line to be seen in Tuttle's Dept Store. Coleman, etc.
Also, on Bewitched, Agnes/Endora............ we saw the Dial-A-Matic (running by itself) for the 1st time in America. That was HER favor to HOOVER. introducing the New age design, which changed vacuums as we know them.
So, kids, that's the story. THere'll be a quizz now.

I never knew this interesting story. Let there be no doubt Vacuum Land really is educational. And that is a rather alluring color. Agnes was a highly talented actress. It's true she didn't much care for her role on Bewitched. They had to talk her into accepting it. She thought Bewitched was a little outlandish and only grew more so in it's later years with the ridiculous Paul Lynde and the ludicrous moving chair props, Ben Franklin, and special effects. She was a serious actress. She famously appeared in the Twilight Zone episode "The Invaders" in which she put on an incredible performance while speaking no words. She was also brilliant in "Hush... Hush... Sweet Charlotte" opposite Bette Davis. She did not want to go down in history as "Endora" but she was brilliant in it for sure.
