Ah, looking even more closely -- if you view the 6th photo (the furthest-right on the top row), you can see the interior of the bag chamber and that it's clearly cardboard.

Filtex vs Eureka..

The Filtex was made out of masonite board,the Eureka and its sister Montgomery Ward model was made out of an ordinary cardboard tube,my Wards is a burgandy colored leatherette,some of the Eurekas were green some red,but I think this one is TOO shiny to be correct.

Ahhh...yeah!

That is ridiculous for that Eureka Model K. They ARE rare - they don't come up very often.

Hans - that is one nice MW. Somehow their versions of vacuums always looked classier than the original mnfrs' same machines.

That Kirby and attachments doesn't look so "Mint" to me either.Probably sat too long in a garage or attic before it was offered for sale.Overpriced.Now if it were truely Mint-may be worth it.

You-all should send messages to the seller! He found my Kirby web site and emailed me about his "mint condition kirby" he had listed on eBay, then seemed to be a bit miffed when I gave him my usual candid opinion of the condition and value of his machine.
