Robert Coonradt I don't mind you posting links to your own Auctions, I actually would encourage it, but I do VERY MUCH mind the following:

#1 Creating threads in multiple forums on Vacuumland to post the exact same link or posting the same link in multiple threads.

#2 Acting like it is someone else's auction with its clearly your own, we are not dummies here.

I've deleted your other posts with the exact same link, this one can stay. If I catch you doing that again I will ban you from posting here.

i smell skullduggery...

i already know this is not legit this dude is a scam artist he is just trying to get people's money
DO NOT BID it is a counterfeit item a real one would have said pennimark and would be a eureka not a hoover and they didn't have a logo on them

Have a look at the photo of the data plate on the underside of this machine, then compare it to the data plate on the supposedly "similar" machine that he's listed. There's a very distinct pattern of scratches and other imperfections that are identical in both auctions. Clearly it's the same machine. So apparently, unsatisfied with the price the machine was getting in the original auction, he simply placed shill bids until he had succeeded in snatching it away from the only legitimate bidder it had.

Here's the data plate from the first auction.

Here's the same data plate from the new auction. Even the paint chips and scratches around the impeller opening are the same. In fact it's the exact same photograph as the one used in the earlier auction, as are all the others.

Good catch you guys, thank you for pointing this out. This is another great reason for Vacuumland, this will help protect some of our members from scam artists and other people who have a problem with the truth. It is great to be able to spread the word like this.

His username is still active but he wont be able to post under it again. If anyone notices that he might have signed up again under a new name, please alert me to this fact.

Or did the winning bidder not pay for the vacuum?

PayPal also offers Buyer Protection Plan, in case the buyer doesn't receive their merchandise or item(s) arrive damaged. That's why eBay shoppers must use PayPal to pay for merchandise.

Or did the winning bidder not pay for the vacuum?

I don't think so. The winning bidder wouldn't have had time to not pay for the auction. The old one ended on April 23rd at 8:55 pm PDT, and if you'll look up at reply number 2 you'll see that the new one was already underway by 1:16 pm PDT on April 24th when Dan left his comment. Since the new one ends at 10:36 pm PDT on the 1st, it was likely begun on April 23rd at 10:36 pm.

Ridiculous Banned!!!!!!!

ebay and paypal protects its users!!!!!! People on Vaccumland should not talk and bash items being sold like this!!!! that being said they can assume all they want you know what they say about assuming, but as a long time ebay seller buyers back out of purchases all the time and you can either sit there and put a case in with ebay which can be very timley and stressfull or just relist the item. Being a new member to Vaccumland I'm not sure if this is what this site is about or what!!!!! I thought I was joining a site about the passion of being a vaccum collector not to hear people tear each other down in these posts and bash ebay items, is this what I signed up for ???????????

ebay and paypal protects its users!!!!!!

And I've got some news for you Vacuumland also tries to protect it's users as well. Notice how "Selinakyle312" first name is exactly the same "Dave" (edit: of course it quickly changed it as soon as he read this) as citation101, not to mention the fact that the ip address is coming out of the same general vicinity as citation1010. With Facebook all this is easily traceable of who is posting what. I will repeat what I said before "we are not dummies here".

Also as soon as Fred saw this auction he remembered the ip address of citation101 as causing some problems in the past with eBay auctions, imagine that.

No we are not stupid here and we will protect our users to the best of our ability.

This thread along with this unecessary drama is now done.
