That machine was made by Whirlpool. Miss Pupek won it. Did you expect anything less? Really? She has more money than God. They will go into a silo with all her other vacs, and never see the light of day again.

I knew it was PoopHead or something like that. Thanks Tom for clearing that up for me. That's exactly who I thought might have bought it. I'm all for his right to buy things like this, but what's unfortunate is that it'll never be seen by the public.

Did Whirlpool ever make these branded with their own name? Also, didn't one of these make it into the museum? I remember seeing a green one posted online a few years ago.

Yes, the Museum has the green one as well as the pink model. The pink model matches the pink Lady Kenmore canister from 1960. Alex Braun was the generous benefactor. I'm very lucky to count him as one of my friends.

Whirlpool never made it under their own name. It was designed for Sears by Birtman before Sears took them over.

Somebody has completely gone tonto over there. Don't get me wrong i love old vacs, but not in 760 years i would pay that amount.

So what does he do with all the stuff he buy's ? Does he actually restore it for his collection or just hoard it ?.


 


If it's getting restored for the guys collection, I can understand that. But if he's buying them up just for the sake of hoarding then to me that's sad.
