Worx TriVac

Help Support VacuumLand:

My family has owned something extremely similar to this manufactured by Toro. If I remember correctly, we bought it right before we moved in 2003. It has a direct air fan, and can be converted to be used as a leaf blower. We use it every weekend to vacuum up grass clippings that ends up on the sidewalk, as well as small leaves and twigs. About five years or so into it's life, the bag burst and now we close it up with clothespins. I'd recommend the Toro to anyone that has a front yard with grass, owns a tree that losses it's leafs, or wants a clean yard in general. So just about everybody. They are really that useful.

I have seen a Worx leaf blower vacuum at the Lowes store near me-it is not a TriVac-the Worx one Lowes carries has a METAL,not plastic fan-better for vacuuming and shredding. If you use the machine ONLY as a blower-the plastic fan is fine-if you vacuum-as I tried with a BD with plastic fan-it will erode QUICKLY!!!Toro also makes a Blower-Vac with a metal fan-its their TOL one.Lowes usually has them.

I just finished my yard with my Worx Trivac.
I love it. I've had it for about three years now and abuse the hell out of it but the plastic fan is still intact and the unit is running great!

I didn't really like it when I first got it since I was expecting miracles from it. I have since learned that it's not meant to replace a rake but it's great for clearing out and sucking up leaves on my deck, in my driveway, in the street and in tough corners.

off topic:
Today was the first time I did my yard without a rake. I had just read that mulching leaves is actually good for your lawn. So instead, I just ran over everything with my lawnmower and sucked up the rest with the Worx.

I have always set my mower for mulching-less bother-no raking or emptying mower grass catchers into a pile.-then what do you do with them?Best to just leave them there after being chopped with the mulching mower while it mows.the grass catcher bags with my mowers are almost new--never been used.
