Working vacuum test gauge explained.

VacuumLand – Vintage & Modern Vacuum Enthusiasts

Help Support VacuumLand:

Alex, you did use a screenshot from my video

CFM Through The Carpet: Hoover Windtunnel 3 HP

The exact screenshot occurs at the 2 minute mark! You can clearly see me, my basement and my cardboard airflow box in the above video and in slide #1 and #2 below. I posted all this above, which you clearly didn't read. Also, it appears you screen grabbed something from Vacuum Wars.

Does someone else edit your videos? If you edited your videos, you would know where all the footage came from. Very strange that you don't seem to know what's in your own videos.

And just an FYI, you have no understanding regarding what is "fair use" and how YouTube has recently changed their polies. As of February, I had a video taken down from "Great Vacs" where they showed me vacuuming a mattress. As of December 2020, I confirmed that YouTube now allows three things:

1) Anyone can use small snippets of anyone's videos without consent
2) Creators can use those small snippets without any reference or acknowledgement of any kind
3) The borrowed (or stolen) content can be re-copyrighted and monetized on anyone else's channel

TRULY AMAZING ISN'T IT?!

Since these are the new rules, I have retracted my takedown request. I can use any part of your videos and you can use any part of my videos without consent or reference, but this was not the case up through February 2020.

Lastly, my claim was made on December 3rd as was not immediately rejected at all. I had to obtain the new clarifications of what YouTube considers fair use.

A YouTube video takedown request is not considered harassment in anyway, shape or form. Please Google the term "harassment" for more detailed information.

This is the very definition of an abusive copyright claim.

Below are too links describing "fair use" and "transformative art"
my video clearly falls under those two categories.
Which either you don't understand legal definitions or are attempting to be malicious. Again there is no intellectual property by legal definition of vaclabs in the video.
According to the affidavit you signed this morning you have now committed an act of perjury.
Why would you be willing to commit a crime over somebody else's video talking about about vacuums?
One last time please stop your harassment. Don't reply or contact me further bill

Agreed vacuumdevil. My sister is an intellectual property rights attorney. You could have even used a screenshot from Disney with no issue. You can even play a clip so long as it is kept very brief. Lots of prominent YouTube creators do it every day.

Whole point of this subject is that using someone else's content in their videos is extremely cheeky.
Worst of all is showing it and saying how it's fail or wrong what someone else does.
I would be very upset if someone took screenshot of my video and calls it FAIL.
Vacuum Facts (JohnnyL8) used to do that and I made copyright claims.
Those videos were always taken down.
I guess rules in the youtube has changed.
Even if you can do it now it's not being a nice person.

Well, as mentioned, I won't go into it.

I was linking it to other people pirating pics they shouldn't, and using them in the wrong way.
How do I know this?

Because "I" was grossly put at the scene there. Photos that were never to used that way. I was thinking about several folks who have taken pics and "borrowed them" w/o permission. Sorry if offended by that.
My vacs have appeared here and there. Once, some asked if it was ok. Imagine one's surprise seeing his or her vacuums unexpectedly.
Some have used some pics of mine... and it was fine.
Just sayin........ pics of vacuums OR vacuum collectors can show up where they shouldn't.
Trying to tie this back to cleaners. Again, sorry if that bothered you. Perhaps I should have put my say in Misc.... or just with the polics.

John, why don’t you just make yourself a NEW THREAD where you can share with the class what’s on your mind, and, here’s the shocking part, then it would actually be ON TOPIC to discuss whatever this is?? Or is it just more you’re style to crash other people’s party by making their threads devolve into an excrement extravaganza? SERIOUSLY, can’t you at least keep your passive aggressive crap in your own damn topic threads!?

Once Again Alex, You've Gotten It Wrong

And remember, YouTube has recently relaxed their fair use rules as stated above. As recent as February 2020, "Great Vacs" used a short clip of me vacuuming a mattress without crediting me as the author. Please see the attached screenshot #3 of my Copyright claims. The other claim was from December 2018.

I have not committed perjury in any way shape or form as my work is clearly in your video at time stamps 2:52-2:57 as shown above. And YouTube has 100% agreed that it does appear in the video as they stated in this sentence.

"We believe the content is protected by fair use, fair dealing or similar use of copyright protection."

What that statement means is that they SEE MY WORK, but it is now protected by their recently relaxed rules. Even if you obtained that screenshot from another channel, it is still clearly my work.

BTW, I've never cared if someone uses my work for commentary. What bothers me is when that channel refuses to acknowledge where it came from. In the educational and professional world, it is required to cite proper references. You didn't here.

In picture #1 your video clearly shows my work beginning at 2:52. The left third is you and the right two thirds is CLEARLY me.

You can see:
1) Both my hands and knee
2) My New Balance shoes
3) My cardboard airflow box with my Mohawk test carpet on top
4) My Dyson DC65
5) My GM8901 with a 984 FPM reading
6) Thomas Recetenwald's Red Hoover Windtunnel 3
7) My blue Kobalt toolbox in the background
8) Thomas Rectenwald's leg in the background
9) Blue lettering in the upper right hand side that says "WT" and "DC6"

Not only have I not broken any YT rules and not committed perjury, you owe me an apology for claiming that I did. I'll wait.

Well, I certainly

understand the holiday. That wasn't meant to smear the holiday. My likeness was placed at a crematorium at a death camp.
I abhor all of the atrocities that happened there. Insinuating someone holiday baking there is a whole other thing. Right?
My point WAS about people taking another's image, video, etc and putting it where it shouldn't be. To keep on focus with vacuum cleaners, lots of people post pics of their collectors' vacs and use them as an ebay item.
I've recognized my friend Tom A.'s rugs, cleaners, etc. in photos. People have used mine too. I have no problem. Copyrights can be tricky. Sometimes, no issuer at all. I always enjoy seeing contest, comparisons, etc. about vacuums.
That's all I was getting at.

YouTube has become so bad with forcing you to watch ads before the video you really want to see. It's so bad I won't even go to youtube any longer. Spoiled it for everyone. Let's say you want to hear Celine sing a song. Go to youtube, and wait for five minutes while every ad for everything you will never buy flashes in front of your eyes. By the time Celine is ready, I don't care anymore.
