Working on a Sebo Essential G2.. Need help!

So I'm currently repairing (or trying to repair) a Sebo essential G2 for someone, and the issue it's having is it turns on, then immediately back off. I had run it for a good 10 minutes and seemed fine, then the check bag/clog light started flashing on and off, then stayed on. Nothing seemed clogged, suction is good. Then it shut off, so I turned it off and back on, same thing. It will run maybe 3-5 seconds before shutting off with the switch still in the on position. No indicator lights on.
I tried with all filters removed, same result. Unplugging seems to have no effect. I also tried with the brushroll removed. Is there some sort of sensor out of whack? Maybe a failed/failing circuit board? Seems weird it would run for 10 minutes before shutting off? I'm letting it cool completely and try again. Never worked on a Sebo before but it does seem somewhat over complicated! Motor sounds fine to me and I'm not getting any weird smells when it does run.

Question is the PCB grounded or is there a piece of aluminum tape on the side of the motor?

There is a very small issue where the supplier for SEBO PCB's changed the specifications of one of the components on the board to something that was not static safe.
If the board and motor or not grounded on those particular machines they do all sorts of strange things. They only made them like this for about 2 months.

I haven't opened it up yet, but the machine does not have a grounded cord. I ran it again for about 10 minutes and it "tried" to shut off twice but never did- lost speed and ramped back up with no indicator lights on. Bag check lit up a couple times randomly but never stayed on. There is a partially filled bag in it but I did not get any with it, and not putting any $ in it until I figure out why it keeps cutting out randomly. Suction seems good to me so I doubt it's actually sensing a full bag.

Definitely not shorting out, it's not blowing the breaker or causing any sparks. It acts like one of the sensors (bag full or brush) is going wonky and shutting it off. I ran it for probably 20 minutes and again it tried to shut off but never actually did, and the bag full light came on and off a couple times.
