Andy and I spent a rainy day thrifting and searching and found some great items including this vintage Hoover Co. War History Book, relating to Hoovers contribution to war production during the years 1941 thru 1945. I had seen this a couple of times on display at the Hoover Museum so I was thrilled to actually find the book in person. Its a wonderful fact filled book and makes one proud of how Hoover helped the US Armed Forces win WW2.

Also found some Hoover parts. Looks like a Dial A Matic Bag and several duplicate attachments........

Non vacuum related, but I just could not resist buying these lamps. The lamps and the shades are near perfect.....and talk about 50's style! YEAH!

Nice Finds, Jimmy!

Especially the book!! I never knew they had a plant in Zanesville. The dusting brushes are interesting--don't think I've ever seen one with that long of a neck on it.

Great stuff, especially those lamps and to find them in good shape too, usually they're damaged in one way or another. Love your starburst clock as well.. me thinks we have similar tastes right down to the decorative plaques on the wall...

Hi Pete,
Yes, the lamps were near perfect including the shades which still have the original packing celophone on them. I love 50's mid century modern style. What you see there in the pics is just the tip of the iceberg of items at my house!

very nice!

Nice finds Jimmy, that Hoover book is a treasure indeed, especially given current events at Main & Maple.
I like the lamps too, and I love mid-century decor!
The Eureka upright is from the middle-late 70's, the colors are fawn biege and big bad orange(Eureka's name) Thats one of their more deluxe-y machines too, its got the good motor, the handle switch, the rugulator height adjustment, and the vibra groomer I.

Eureka Upright

Jimmy, what is the Model number on the Eureka?? Is it 3 digits and a number?? If it is it's a K-Mart model!!!
If it's 4 digits and a letter then it's a top of the
regular line. I'm confussed by the rugulator adjustment
as I'm not sure that they used those on K-Mart models.
The orange is a sure clue, as the orange and then later
the limie/darkish green color.

Model # 2036 B is what is stamped on the data plate on the bottom. I love this model Eureka and its performace is outstanding.
