Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but I couldn't find an answer out and about.

Having recently found a new home for my Kirby and obtained a Shark NV-500, I neglected to check whether or not the Kirby attachments fit on the Shark's hose.

Anyone tried it? Do they fit? That's one arena that the Shark is lacking in, severely.

(This is a simple technical question. I don't need anyone trying to convince me to switch back to the Kirby. Thank you in advance!)

Probably not

Although I don't know 100% for sure. The Kirby attachments are twist-pressure mounted. The Shark hose doesn't have that twist-pressure pattern on its end, and it has a plastic tab which protrudes and helps you align the Shark hard floor nozzle. Methinks this would get in the way of fully inserting the hose into the attachments. Again, I don't know 100% for sure, because once I switched from Shark to Kirby, I never looked back for a second!

But hey, good luck!

If you find the right type of adapter they will. I use the tangel free turble that I got for my Dyson DC65 on my Shark Powered Lift Away, it works with the adapter that came with it.

Yes with the adapter

At least with the Professional lift away -

Mine came with a car detail kit which had a small adapter that I use if I want to use other vacuums attachments. I don't use attachments much on my shark I just use it as upright to vacuum carpets, but every now and then I end up using the dusting brush and crevice tool, but the dusting brush that came with the shark is a total joke, so I use a better dusting brush.
