Just had a thought I am aquiring a kirby Sanitronic from a friend and would love to make it so it can take a heppa bag and wondered if the Mini Emptor would fit on a Sanitronic 7?

Yes, it will, from a 516 to a LegendII, all the Emtors (be they Sani-emtors or Mini-Emtors) are interchangeable... :)

My D80 (basically the same thing, but with a 2-speed motor) has been fitted with a Mini-Emtor & LegendII bag (looks fine and was all I had to hand), and it works great, and it's a common modification... :)

Oh, I should point out, just to avoid confusion, that Sani-emtors don't fit properly on the HeritageII to LegendII unless the rear axle is replaced with the narrower style as used on the Tradition & HeritageI...

thankyou for the help I am so excited to have my first kirby just would rather a paper bag conversion so thankyou for the responce I am going to order one when I get the vacuum from my friend

Sanitronic Bag conversion

My dad finally ended up in a Nursing Home. In cleaning out the house, I brought home the old Kirby Sanitronic they had placed in the atic of the garage probably 40 years ago. It still runs...

Do I understand correctly that a Heritage II bag assembly with emtor will fit a Sanitronic 50. Google searching tells me it might

There is a person on Ebay selling the entire Heritage II bag assembly. Would be nice to convert this vacume to one that uses disposible bags.

Any insight from anyone would be appreciated

Sani-Emtor modification to accept Generation Series bags

I would like to do this as well. I upgraded my Heritage to the Legend II smoked plastic Mini-Emtor w/ new hose top of Sentria so I use Hepa filter cloth bags. I am next going to change the newer fill tube to that of the Centria II w/ F style bag mounts. So now I have the original metal mini emptor of the Heritage that opens at bottom but with slightly smaller fill tube insert. This part inside is plastic so I am wanting to retrofit it to take the larger fill tube top of the legend II as I have an extra. Has anybody here tried this yet? Otherwise, I do have the original Heritage fill tube and oval bag cap end. I was told I can at best fit a round style bag top to still use my Generation sties twist lock bag top.
My actual desire is ti retrofit the use of the old bi block style Sani-Emtor of my Sanitronic D50 more for the vintage look on the outs but modern on the inside. But for now I plan to use the early Heritage Emtor & strip and polish the top end and paint the bottom plate to look like the vintage D50
