Will a Kirby 1CR power cord work with a Dual S-50?

Hello,
Does anyone know if a power cord from a Kirby 1CR would work on a Dual Sanitronic 50 and vice versa? I stopped by the thrift store today and they had a 1CR and a DS-50. Both worked just fine but the power cords on the units looked as though they had been switched. The DS-50 had a dark brown cord and the 1CR had an older-looking metallic bronze cord. I already have a 1CR so I purchased the Sanitronic. I left the cords as they were, but I am still curious. The bronze cord would have looked much better on the DS-50.

Pam,

Yes, any cord that was designed for any Kirby between the 516 and the Tradition will work on your D50. The Heritage and later power cords will NOT work on these models, nor will power cords for models 515 and back (in that case due to the rounded female end).
