Why are vacuum cleaner collectors so untrustworthy?????????
After a posting on Facebook I contacted a South African Vacuum cleaner Collector from Kempton Park, whom was down sizing his collection. He whatsappéd the pictures of the machines to me that was availible.
I specifically indicated to him which Vacuum cleaners I am definitely interested in and will purchase from him.
This was Saturday afternoon. He replied on me asking when will suite him best for collection ect. He replied Sunday morning before 9 o clock. Being Sunday and as A Christian I could not endouvour in doing business on a Sunday.
This morning I received a message that Gareth Sheen, had selected the ones he wanted, despite the ones I selected first, Gareth selected them and I had no say.
The whatsapp message read as follow: Morning. As you know im down scaling my collection of vacuums. I have priced each item individually and priced it for you guys the collectors. GARETH selected the ones he wants. If you are interested in receiving photos of what is left let me know. If you take the lot we can discuss a better price.
Having a history with Gareth and giving him and even couriering many vintage vacuums very rare in collections to him, he still has no respect or loyaalty towards other collectors, and nor does the seller. Gareth was to give me a single vacuum cleaner Columbus Sylvia" the equivalent of the small upright Fakir, Regina Beat n sweep, in return for a Kirby 508 with accessories, pink Hoover 652 Grey Hoover 652, Hoover U4016 in a distinct green with yellow and white bag and accessories-all in 100% original and working condition , Moulinex with all accessories, to name a few. (ALL FREE OF CHARGE) He gave the Columbus that was promised to me to another collector.
The machines I selected before he was even in the picture was afterwards reserved to him. Why are collectors so disloyal. Gareth is based 1800 km from us where I am a mere 15 km from the seller??????
You can never, BUT NEVER trust the South African Vacuum cleaner Collector.
I am livid, and tired of being treated like this by a bunch of people whom do not honour their word.
Are there any other collectors that has experienced the same disguising Behaviour? Am I entitled to feel the way I do?
