Bosching my floor

Bosch make some great budget canisters over here. I'd like to get one at some point.

I bought the Ultra Premium in 2004 when it first came out.

It came with Wessel-Werk’s large power nozzle. It was a great machine but I had no use for the 3 in 1 furniture/crevice tool. I sold it when the rheostat in the handle stopped working. I gotta admit that I really liked the the cord winder with the electromagnetic lock mechanism. Just unplug it and watch the cord go!

I used one for a few weeks about 12 years ago. Had the big Wessel nozzle. One of the Tacony executives who used to work for Bosch sent it to me to try. I gave it back. They haven't sold Bosch in the USA for at least 10 years, or maybe more.

Latest Bosch Series 8 Pro Animal looks very good, but no powerhead. Only turbo brush available in EU. Made in Germany.

@luxlife I have a one of the XXL machines as well I rather like it. It's a shame you got rid of yours I really think for a classic thing to have now.
That 3 in 1 one tool is definitely terribly unpractical.

@dysonman1 I'm surprised you don't have one.

@suckolux If you can find one definitely get one.

@mike811 We last got Bosch in 2009
I've been eyeballing that machine you posted I've been thinking about importing it.

Fallible electronics in the hose handle speed control...

This was really my only reason for selling it. It was a real chore to reach the company because the vacuums Customer service was through a different part of the company. Bosch replaced the hose under warranty but the handle was cracked in shipping. I pieced together a decent hose between the 2 but it just didn’t bode well for a daily driver and I saw it as a sign and opportunity to sell. It was and still is a very forward thought design concept.

I had no idea Bosch made vacuum cleaners before reading this thread, but since I mainly tend to concentrate on Kirby and Electrolux, it's not really an area of interest for me. Besides, I always think of Bosch more as a car parts company. I had a set of Bosch wiper blades on one of my cars until recently, when I replaced them because they'd dry-rotted, as wiper blades will do. Long, long ago, when I was into VW Beetles (the real ones with air-cooled engines in the back) the conventional wisdom was to use only Bosch spark plugs and fan belts.

That is the seller I bought my Bosch from. It was shipped the same day I bought it. Will take pics and give a review after I receive and use it. Alex put the idea into my head, and now I'll have one.
