Fire place stone

I honestly don't know what kind of stone it is.  But I have the same stone on two fireplaces, the house's exterior, flooring on the patio and garden room, a pond in the backyard, and the border for raised flower beds in the backyard.  It's everywhere!  My house is a classic mid-century ranch with 7,000 square feet.  It's a beast of a house!  LOL!

Rugsucker, no not going to the races but do run down that way every now and then. My dad goes to VA hospital for his appointments, my grandmother was in Bristol Regional for a month, etc, so we're not total strangers to the area. As for more Luxes - only for a very good deal:)
Haven't been through Grundy in awhile either - the Walmart is now open.

Eurekastar,House sounds great.Do you know history?Architect designed? So if you use 7 vacs each does 1000ft or with 14 each does 500ft or??More pics?Or are you saving for Atomic?Happy vacuuming.--Gal220joy,I am very convenient to VA.Almost as easy to circle through here on way back to Bristol.Good deals can start at free to $5 to $20.--Jimmy

This house is massive.  It has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a music room, a "grand dining room", a family dining room, an indoor pool, garden room, silver closet (in the kitchen), two Sub-Zero refrigerators, a climate controlled fur closet, and a five bay garage.  The 7,000 square feet is just the air conditioned space, but I think the total square footage is around 8500.  It is built at the base of a hill, so there's a "lower yard" and an "upper yard".  It originally sat on about 4 acres, which included a house for the maid and a house for the grounds keeper.  But when the original owner died, she willed those homes to her staff.  So I'm thinking there's about 3 acres left.  From what I've been told, the original owner's father-in-law was one of the founders of Conoco Oil Company, so the money that built this house was oil money.  Back in the day, she would invite people like Van Cliburn to play for a few select friends at an evening of music and drinks.  Dean Martin has been a guest here too.  The lady died about 15 years ago and the home was sold.  It went through a couple of owners and fell into disrepair.  About five years ago, the house was on the market again and the original owner's daughter bought it and donated to my church to be used as the parsonage.  She paid to have it refurbished and furnished and also pays for the utilities, repairs, maintenance, and upkeep (which includes a maid and lawn service!).  I would never be able to live in a house like this on my own or take care of it!!!

Gal220joy,Lots of lux,Lots of vacs.Call if you happen to be in Johnson city on near(new phone-423-297-6918)Do you collect,sell,restore??---Eurekastar,Sounds like a possible oral history project for local student or researcher as it is part of business, architecture, social and now religious history of your area.Sounds somewhat similar to an aunt & uncles home in Asheville NC.He was Methodist district superintendent in 70s and the chuch purchased a doctors house in exclusive area built in 50s with double automatic garage doors,AC when a furnace was big & with AC was huge, large ceramic baths and Deluxe GE appliances in dark brown(not coppertone).Would a TX Methodist have visited Lake Junaluska?--Happy Vacuuming to both,Jimmy

Rugsucker, I sell. Would you happen to have a hose to fit the 1453 pictured below? Good hose with no leaks, holes, etc. Would prefer gray to be predominant color but will consider other colors. And is this Lux a Silverado?

We might be heading to Johnson City on Sept. 4.
