I will agree!

That a Windtunnel IS powerful, I personally just dont want anything that new, I bought a Decade 80 last week, now normally that would be wayyy too new for me, but it really was like new, so I got it, seems to me like a souped up Convertible, I love the early Dial A Matics, probably..IMHO, the most industry changing design since the Hoover O and the first Electrolux, the DAM set the stage for all the new vacs today.

Re New Model 65 Convertible!

You find me one NIB and I will SHOW you someone who will buy it!!ME..LOL!

I have 4 65s

2 gold, 2 pink. They STILL work. I have 4 28s They still work. Numerous Hoover cleaners have been cleaning an 11 room house here, for dacades, with no problems. Do we all want an old shake out bag? I doubt it. Some like "C" bags, others like top fill. It's been proven again and again: SERVICE your Convertible and you can get a lifetime of SERVICE out of it. The SAME can be said about your Kirbys, Royals, and other species. (Surprised I'd add that, huh?(
I believe that tons of owner's manuals (HOOVER and others) say, specifically: don't use your vacuum to pick up sharp object, coins, rocks, etc.......... let's all turn to our manuals now.

Best Hoover bag..

To my mind, was the Handisac, I use them in almost every upright, they filter great, and dont seem to plug up, I took one and cut it into and made a flat filter for a Silver King....it works so much better than the original paper filter you just wouldnt believe it, I have also altered them to use in most vintage tank cleaners with equally good results, a few years ago I bought all the old bags a old hardware store had, and that meant a whole bunch of genuine Handisacs, as well as a few Hoover tank bags that are red and of a similar material.

Students, you'll find your copy of the Convertible manual under your desk!
