I have a plan...

I will go over there tomorrow afternoon and rescue my Sanitaire. Then, I'll spend $60 on sanitairevacuumsales.com to make it feel loved. What can possibly go wrong?

Clayton, if I was you, I would go to the police station, explain the situation to them, & then have the officer go with you to pick up the vacuum. And I wouldn't worry about whether you have ruined your relations with the vac shop. Rather, I would tell them you will be letting EVERYONE you meet know of your awful experience with them, & encouraging others to take their repairs & future vac sales elsewhere! Maybe that will teach them to use such unethical business practices!

The Great Sanitaire Fiasco of 2014

I went there Friday afternoon to find that my dad had banned me from entering the store. I guess he thought I would cause some sort of trouble. He went in there and apparently the guy told him that he had already ordered the parts for the machine. I'm supposed to get a call this week to which I'm going to say "Don't touch my machine, I just want to buy the parts."

I just don't understand how he can order parts when you didn't authorize any repair..get the eye witness news team to do a story on this!!!

Well I -DID- go in there because I wanted parts. I thought they would be cheaper to obtain because there would be no shipping cost. If I had known that all this would turn into The Great Sanitaire Fiasco of 2014, I would have ordered parts of the Internet.

The House of Vacuums called me today...

The guy said it would cost 23.05 for a new hood and a new belt. I guess that's not too bad. I will probably be going to pick up the machine on Wednesday. The guy said he would put the parts on for free, but I want to do it myself. I'll still have to buy a new VGII beater bar, fan, and pulley from sanitairevacuumsales.com
