Which attachments fit Eureka 667 canister?

I recently bought a house, and buried in the shed was a beautiful green Eureka 667 canister that works perfectly! Except, it has no attachments or wands. It appears based on the drywall dust I cleaned out of it that someone had turned it into a dust collector for some renovations at some point.

I'm having no luck finding any original attachments, and none of the "fits models" lists on any modern production attachments seem to go that far back. Any idea what attachments I could try?

Looking at pictures and videos from a Google search, it looks like that would use standard Eureka attachments from the 70s/80s in white.

eBay will indeed be your best bet. There should be a round dusting brush, an upholstery tool, crevice tool, and looks like a combo rug/floor tool, and two chrome wands.

The small tools should be pretty easy to find (there are actually a few Eureka upright tool sets on eBay now that would get you those three tools easily). The wands and floor nozzle might be a bit harder.

This is if you truly want original style Eureka tools for it. If you're just looking to get it usable for cleaning, than any standard 1 1/4" attachments and wands should fit just fine.

Thank you! That gives me just the place too start looking! I am trying to set this up for use, but I'd also like to stick at closely as possible to the original look as I can, so I'll start hunting!

I'm always so glad there's a fandom for everything, because of something's not in my own portfolio of hobbies, there's always someone who knows everything I need to know!

If I remember correctly, any Eureka canister with a model number in the 600 range was a KMart special edition made just for that retailer. It’s most likely a mid 1970’s Princess style canister vac that takes Style H bags. If it’s from the 1970’s, it would have come with chrome steel wands and a separate steel curved wand to attach the classic Eureka Williams carpet nozzle or bare floor brush. In the 1980’s, Eureka returned to a simpler attachment system where the carpet nozzle and floor brush each had an integrated plastic neck.

Oh, thanks! That helps quite a bit! I was wondering why it was so hard to match the 667 model number to anything (except that Youtube video and an *bay listing). It looks quite a bit like some 1200 and 1600 models, now that I know 667 wasn't a "real" model number.

I ordered some generic attachments so I can start using it, and bags and motor filters, and I'll start hunting for the attachments it deserves.

Hi Art,

Your best bet to track down the correct beige Eureka Williams tools is indeed to look for attachments fitting the 1600 Series (called the Sweet Sixteens), the 1800 Series (called the Empress II Fastvacs) or any Eureka Princess in the 700 Series. The 700 Series is identical to the KMart special 600 Series, except for canister body colour. The early 1970's tools had a distinctive cream/ beige colour that should match the Tool Pak tool carrier and the handle on your canister. The attachments made after 1975 or 1976 were pure white.

Additionally, what's the usual solution for replacement "doughnut" bag gaskets for these? Mine appears to still seal, but the surface is checked and I'm sure it'll need replacement before too long.

Cen-Tec tools

The Cen-Tec tools and wand I bought to hold me until I can find the proper original tools just came in, so have a picture! Only downside is the crevice tool is too thick to go in the slot, but the kit was also didn't have a carpet tool, so I just stuck it on vertically.

I've only done a cursory cleaning, so she's not ready for beauty shots yet, and the bags and filters arrive tomorrow, so no idea about the suction, but I should be able to try out vacuuming with this beauty tomorrow!
