Well.......
Puyallup....a way to tell if you've lived here long or not. It's said by the natives as Pew*l*up, accent on the first syllable. Even the media broadcasters often get it wrong...in WA state no less!

Up in the attic
where I used to live. It was the biggest attic I've ever seen. 16ft. tall. So I put in a floor and brought electricity up. I put over head lighting using spot lights mostly. I built the "Kirby Coral" where I stacked milk crates at various heights and draped fabric over them all. I had two clusters of seven Kirby's. The lighting from above really showed off the polished and shiny Kirbys. I did similar with Eurekas and Hoovers. Had about 50 vacs. up there. I just kept a few daily drivers downstairs.People really liked what I had done and sense we weren't tripping over vacuums, nobody ever made comments like, "Why do you have so many vacuum cleaners?" I don't have an attic now so they are in a lg. storage shed and under the house in a decent crawl space with cement floor and in closets. I have about 5 on display in a corner of the living room. They get rotated and used through out the year. I keep a file on each and every one of them. The files show when I got the vacuum, what work has been done if any, how much I've spent on parts or service if I couldn't do the work and of course comments on the performance and a side list of parts I'm looking for to further restore said vacuum.

I had a rent house I should have bought....it was for sale at the time. It had a wonderful loft that was finished. My teenage son was up there at the time. He moved out with his GF, but that would have been PERFECT for vacuum storage/display.
Nobody would go up there unless they had interest in vacuums and I could visit till my heart's content. Seems like a dream unfulfilled now........

Kyle! Nice display! I am very jealous that you scooped up that Kenmore bagged stick-vac! I forgot the model name (was it the “Glide”?) but I wanted one at the time there were being sold, but they disappeared from Sears stores not long after they were introduced.....not quite sure why. If I remember correctly, that unique stick-vac did very, very well in Consumer Reports tests and was rated very high in the rankings.
It’s really frustrating when a great cleaner is brought to market and then disappears after a few years. Another example is my Hoover Bagged Platinum Lightweight upright....fantastic carpet cleaner but now nowhere to be found - even the Royal blue version.

Brian, that purple Kenmore was the Glide. It used the same power nozzle as my red Progressive but without a headlight. There was a Panasonic version of the Glide, same purple color, and at least in the UK the Panasonic model had a separate hose and attachments that plugged into a port on the back.

Real1shep the housing market is going to drop like a ton of bricks. Im guessing in November. If you are in a good situation the prices will be low.
If the house your talking about is past tense and your in a different situation now I apologise. If I click load past posts it will delete my entire post.

the house in question was sold and I even did work for the woman who bought it. She put over $200,000 in renovations and the house was even in "Better Homes and Gardens". Then, as life would have it, a family moved in next door after a death and grew pot there legally. I have no problem with that really...legally. But the neighborhood always smelled like skunk after that because of the amount of usage going on there. The woman can't even use her back patio area anymore and she's a prisoner in her own house most of the time. I feel badly for her. She would probably be amenable to selling the house now, but not sure I would like living there either and raising my grandson. At some point he'd get the idea that all that was OK and I don't think it is with a developing brain.
At that period in my life, I was hoping to leapfrog to another town altogether. But.....here I sit some 19yrs later.

Tom (A.) recently got a whole bunch of new items for his
gallery. He has removed the handles of a lot of 'vault' Convertibles. Those shelf units hold a lot more that way.
Of course, it's always fun to 'mix it up'. There's no law stating how you must do it. It was suggested that I line the stairs here with ALL of the 69s, or 70s, or alternate. Why not??I have to get photos back going here.

On racks
Since my computer room is also my vacuum room. My vacs are on racks. They are pushed aside at the moment since I'm working from home. Kind of self conscious about co-workers seeing my vacs in zoom meetings.
The new vac room sounds great! Can't wait to see it.

Last year, I brought home some great items, some from Dick
Pike. Perhaps you've seen the 'boards'. made by The Hoover Company. Some depict Murray Spangler, Boss Hoover, the evolution of it all. I have 4 different ones. One, I have special plans for when The VCCC visits in 2023. Because the 'gallery' has a barn top ceiling, I'm contemplating installing them there, on the ceiling. It will be different, no doubt.
I was thrilled to get these boards. There are only a few of them around. One set is at The Hoover Historical Society, another graces the walls at Tom A.'s home. Suffice it to say, they were not easy getting them home.

And.......
some of us are terrible @typing and poor editors....even though we get the diction and syntax correct. A few members are close to illiterate and even after reading their posts several times, I can't make sense of them. Talk about diversity.......lol!

Some are better at all of it than some. But, some are mean, inconsiderate, etc. It's the misinformation, sometimes, even lies that are most unfortunate! Right?And, some seem to get off by trying to anger and/or insult, torment, belittle other. Just remember to always consider the source.

over the yrs, I have seen you respond to some really mean-spirited stuff levied your way. You've always done it with dignity and aplomb. You are truly, one of a kind. I don't always agree with you, but I certainly respect your opinions....always.
