Please reply as to where I can get a new Constellation or Satellite. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. Where do you think one might be available to me here??? Thanks, Kenny

Hoover Constellation

Try an authorized Hoover Service/Dealer in your area.
That's where I got mine.

Best of luck!

maybe you can contact your local Hoover Company outlet? or perhaps call Hoover's 800 number? and the Constellation IS available on the web.

New Connie at wholesale cost

Kenny:
As a VCCC member you can buy a new Connie from those of us who own vac shops at wholesale. The wholesale cost of a connie is $139 plus COD fee and postage. That brings the total wholesale cost (to the shop) to be about $150. Those VCCC members with vac shops got together at the last meeting and made an annoucement about this very subject. We don't want our fellow members to be ripped off or have to pay outrageous retail prices for vacs.

AARRGGHH!

My service center STILL doesn't have them. Well actually they have them, but they're still in some kind of testing process and can't sell them yet.

That's the price for the white connie. ESSCO didn't have the stainless steel ones in yet. I bought six of them, and have sold two to customers already. Much fun to demonstrate. I have my model 84 sitting next to the brand new ones.

Ironically, Andy is an authorized Hoover service dealer, and can't get the new connie. I ordered them from one of the wholesalers who sells me bags, belts, parts, etc. They have tons of them in the warehouse.

Hoover.

Tom~

Hoover service centers aren't allowed to sell the Constellation to dealers as of yet, due to some internal 'feedback' program that they run every time a new product is rolled out. I think it's rediculous... seeing as how any dealer can just order them from ESSCO, or wherever. I also don't know if we're going to be able to get the stainless steel model. Nobody 'higher up' tells us zip... so we are left to our own devices to either read their minds, or probe and ask questions... that's one that hasn't yet been asked (I'm just smitten for now, with the Pearl White model).

On the other hand; anybody know any dealers who want to order a "Z" ? :-) Now those, we have plenty of to dump... err... sell. Yeah. Sell.

*rolls eyes*

Connie still not available here in Vegas!

Our Hoover factory store here in Vegas, isn't very helpful or pleasant to deal with......their reply to me about getting a Constellation was..."That's not available here... Are you sure it's really made by Hoover??" I did see them on the Best Buy website but havn't seen them there for a long while. I'd love to get Jill the Satellite stainless steel model.....Does it come with a floor brush tool??

vegas

that reminds me of the time i had the GALL to see if brush strip for the 28 were still available at the Hoover store here. the guy tried to tell me Hoover never made that model.

Kenny-

Kenny-
Sorry to hear about your service center in Vegas not being very friendly... They are, in fact available... and they are in fact able to get them. All they have to do is order them (it surprises me that they haven't). Shoot me an e-mail if you'd like... and maybe I can give you a hand in getting one through them. I'm still not sure if the stainless model is available. Both of them would come with a bare floor brush.

David-
About the 28... unless the person working at the store was 'old school' (old enough to know what a model 28 is), they would have no visible record of it being made. All of the parts catalogs only go back as far as the model 61. So, if he punched "28" into the field for model number lookup, he would have gotten a "no modes found" message... hence his answer. I'm not entirely sure when all of those old parts were dumped... I'd say it was maybe 8-10 years ago.

Do you still need new brush strips?
