When it rains it pours!

Up until recently, I hadn't really seen or heard much about the older Panasonic Jet-Flo vacuums. I hadn't seen one in person before and hadn't came across one for sale. . About three weeks ago though I came across a BOL Jet-Flo at one of the local Good Will stores. I was more than happy to snap it up. However since then I've come across two more of then! Has anybody else had the experience of coming across multiple versions of a somewhat rare or unusual machine in a short time span?

Here are two of the Jet-Flos, an MC-6210 and an MC-6220. The first one, an MC- 5111 is still disassembled awaiting a fan replacement.

I have 2. The one on the right in your pic and an even older bottom line model in pink.
Both are posted here on VL somewhere if you search my handle and 'Panasonic'.
This basic design is so effective and easy to use. Tacony makes even better knock offs
Which I am always in the hunt for.
Question for the assembled: can I swap brush rolls from a Panny to a Tacony
copy?

Well the Panny uses a round belt and Tacony uses a flat belt, also the belt placement is different. Maybe it would work if you uses the end caps and bearings from the original machine on the different brushroll. The brush strips will interchange though.

I had 2 of the 6220. One for home and for business back in the 80's. Much like a dial a matic, except the hose did not lock. The one bad thing about that vac, otherwise excellent and always top rated.

Panasonic Uprights

These were good and popular in the 80s.Mant D-T-D salesmen with a canister such as AirWay added these for upright customers.The above were common with fewer of the 3 speed.I have only seen ONE of the variable speed electronic that I have on EBay now.
These were great and easy with hose and att.

Re Panasonic

I worked in a vac shop in 83 and 84 and we sold these, as well as Turbotronics and Air Way Sanitizors, back when they still had the good attachments and the metal Rugmaster.

Have you ever heard of the Kenmore Powerpath Uprights? They are alot newer than the Jet Flo's, as they're from the mid 90's. If you have heard of them and since Kenmore and Panasonic are the same, do you think a Jet flo brushroll could fit in a powerpath?

My mom had the one on the left for 17 years!! She loved it and we were so sad when it finally bit the dust (no pun intended). My grandmother had the Panasonic Jet Flo MC-6215 and it was two toned blue. Oh it was my favorite!!

I got my beloved 6255 in 90 I want to say?? Not top of the line, but very nice. I used it to clean my mom's huge beauty shop for years, it lived in the trunk of my car. Always kept fresh factory bags in it, only had to change belt a few times. Brushroll is now very worn though, and not having luck with new one This was a very well thought out and made vacuum.

MC-5111 question

Hi...new to the forum. Just came across a brand new (in sealed box) Panasonic MC-5111. Is this a decent vacuum?

Once you find one then suddenly the rest magically appear.

A friend of mine who owns a vacuum shop askes me to look for stuff for him for that very reason.

By the way Panasonic Jet-Flo use both round and flat belts depending on which brush roll they have in them. I've seen two units that look identical one has a flat belt and one has a round belt.
