Hey! Whats the oldest vacuum you have? Mine is a 1965 Dual 50. EVERYTHING is original- not a single replaced part!

From my D50 picture

1: I have the UGLIEST carpet, dont I?
2: The pic does not do the vacuum justice. It makes the scratches look bigger and it is actuallyb much shinier.

My oldest vacuum....

is my 1938 Hoover Model 26, a/k/a the "Ensemble in Brown". She is the matriarch of my little Hoover family :-)

My oldest vac is my Hoover Junior 1334, not sure of it's exact age, but is in the region of about 50 years old, and still working, not 100% original, but most of it is there and working smoothly... :)

I just realised I haven't taken many pictures of it, only a couple when I was using a scruffy bag, not the one it came with, oh well...

1928

An old AEG Vampyr upright straight suction (no brushroll) - the first vac that was assembly lined in Europe ever (still waiting for its restoration, so many parts missing).

Hey Sam, this avatar pic of yours, does it resemble you or was that just an arbitrary pick? (Sorry to drift off topic).

The Vampyr vac still needs some serious redo and a severe "spa weekend" so forgive me for not having posted pics.

Bud....

What brand is your parlor pump organ? What a beautiful Eastlake model! It is similar to mine but I yours has more detail. Very nice!

why do I ask?

cause it would have been nice to have found another co-longhaired one. Just for the heck of it.
Just keep rocking...

Wicked cool!

I had no idea there was those little tag thingies! Were probably infused with the box on my 575. Did recover the original spare belt connected to its card and some other goodies.

Could you pretty please give us a closeup of those two tags. Would love love love to read them! :)

I've got a Royal that's 100 years old if it's a day; doesn't have a brush roll or anything, just a metal nozzle. It works well enough but the motor brushes are shot and they were the one thing I didn't get to fix. I had to make a whole new bag for it since the old one had rotted in to pieces.

Out of something called duck cloth. I had the original as a sort of template; there was enough left to get the idea of the shape and where the seams were. Then it was just a little work on my mom's old Singer sewing machine since the stuff was too tough to sew by hand.
