My favorite

Kirby D50, with out a doubt. I have two, gave a third (I refitted in blue with mini emtor and Tradition bag) to the local thrift store. My grandpa had one, at 6'4" he towered over it. Shoulda kept that one, too.

Most Beautiful

In my opinion, the 1937 Air-Way model 55 in glorious Purple. Complete with original hose, cord, and all attachments (including the optional Whirl-A-Way) Stunning color, perfect filtration, timeless classic design.

another beautiful machine I would love to have-the external filter NSS Bronco wet-dry vacuum-the motor was on top of the lid-Large blue "Horse" logo bag connected to the motors radial fan discharge opening. The tank and lid were polished.Saw one at a Daycon showroom The motor could be detached from the lid to use as a powerful blower.A small bag could be attached to the output-and a hose adaptor for the intacke-a small scrap trap on it like the Pig.A sling allowed you to carry it around as a "hip" vacuum. The motor housing was polished,too-like a Kirby. The Broncos today have the internal motor and filter.Just not as cool. This would have been early 70's.And at the Daycon place was another pretty vacuum-a Certified Pile lifter-all polished and had a huge blue bag.two motors in polished chrome housings.one to power the giant roller brush-other for suction. Both of these are on my "wanted" list!Hope to run into them someday.I wasn't into vacuums so much then-but of course more so today.

The Hoover model 28 models with the rarely found steel motor hood! I do not know why Hoover made some 28's with steel motor hoods...but you do not have to worry about them breaking if something falls on them as with bakelite hoods.
