Very true, Hans!

My favorite hoover just so happens to be my dream machine, the model 825.

In my opinion, the most beautiful and pinnacle in Hoover design, along with the 150.

What I would GIVE to find a model 825....

My other favorite is my good friends Spangler Suction Sweeper.

An important machine, as it was the design basis for the Hoover model 0.

As much as I dislike hoovers, I do like my two Juniors, one a 1334, the other a rebuilt-in-the-90's no-model 1334-lookalike, both work great where I need to use a small vac in a tight space... :)

Several Favorites

There are several models of the Hoover upright I would consider my favorites. Starting with the old "coffee can" models, they are the 700, 725, 475, 825, 150, 26, 28, 29, 63, and several models of the Convertible. And I do have all of these I've listed except for the 150.

favorite Hoover upright

My first Vac I owned was a Hoover DAM. It is still ny favorite. I loved the fact that the tools were so easy to use and they were so well made. It also had very good tool suction, something that was hard to find back in the late 70's. I traded it for a Kirby Classic 3, which was a very good machine, but I really missed the overall convience of the DAM.If they were still made, I would buy one.

Hoover Elite

I don't have any pictures of it but my favorite of all the Hoovers i've had would have been the Elite 200 it was effective light and simple

It's hard to pick just one, but I agree with Brandon about the 825. That is one classy cleaner, as is the 800 of the same era. Just fantastic design, build like brick ----houses, and solid, handsome performers. About the only thing they were NOT great at was above-the-floor cleaning.

I also LOVE the Model 63 DeLuxe and, of course, the original Convertible - the Model 65 pink lady. I also love the Model 1076, the lemon yellow beauty (right, John Long?)
