First, I have to add my Fantom Thunder; while not technically a 'Dyson', from looking at the early Dyson versions it's quite clear of the sibling link between them all. Fantom introduced me to Dyson's designs, and while it may not have the suction that the newer ones do, the way that the hepa filter stays so clean and all the dust in the dust cup indicates how well the original designs really work; I've only replaced the hepa filter once and it probably really didnt need it. Next would be my dc44, the one I use most; I just pull it out of it's hanger, touch up around my bird cages and put it back, wonderful lightweight design. Last but not least would be the dc17, yes the one with the 'design flaw'. But Dyson addressed that, and it now works like a champ. The Thunder's lasted 15 years now, and shows no signs of giving up. Now that it has 'company', my vacuum society will give each other a breather and I hope they'll last forever, never to buy another vacuum bag.
