Forget about how well they work - or that they work at all! Which vacuum, in your opinion is the most striking visually? For me, I would have to say it is the Electrolux LX - the first vacuum that I bought because it was "beautiful".

The Kirby Classic Omega. Have loved em since i first saw one new in 1973. Now, i dont mean a dirty old neglected dulled metal falling apart Classic Omega, im talking Factory rebuilt, shining like a brand new mirror in A1 condition right out of the box Omega.
The dark rosewood brown against the mirror like chrome. The Omega symbol with a bright new hadlignt bulb, in the front above belt lifter, the woodgrain decal on the handle bale all shined up. The regal slope on both sides of the rug nozzle, like a bell,, WOW! Now THATS a vacuum cleaner.

I think the blue Kirby Tradition with the chrome all shined up like a mirror is pretty too,,,but there is just something about the Classic Omega Rosewood.

The Electrolux Golden Jubilee also holds a special place in my mind as a thing of beauty. Again, in brand new like A1 Condition. There just isnt another Electrolux that is as pretty to look at, IMHO.

Where i come from ( small town in SE Minnesota) it isnt WHAT vacuum do you have, its WHICH Electrolux do you have.
When they came out with the Golden Jubilee,,you left it out, in a corner of your living room or wherever people would see it. Was like a golden trophy.

This is a tough question - Because it is close between my 1982 Electrolux 502S and my 1977 HOOVER Senior Ranger U4014...

After much thought I think I have to go with the Ranger, as nothing compares to a cloth bag with the vertical "HOOVER" lettering.

Hi

Hi Jamie, The vent on the front of the Singer is where the light is.
I've cleaned/polished the Singer since took that pic. I can't find where I have put the newer pic?? lol.

Defintely...

a 'eye of the beholder' type thing. But for me, the LUX G hands down.

James, that Singer is beautiful! Mine would have to be my Electrolux xxx. I just love it. Very quiet, has strong suction (even with the original hose!), and it looks really neat!

agreed! Hoover Ranger U 4014

Have my own here, never get tired of it.
These smooth lines, that trustworthy and no-nonsense growl and the idea, that it is THE original Shake'n'Vac dance partner ;-)

It's a four-way tie for me!

<span style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva;">Honestly - I couldn't decide on just one!  All four of these machines are beautiful to me for one reason or another.  From left to right in the picture below, my vote goes to the following:</span>

<span style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva;">* Hoover Convertible 70</span>

<span style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva;">* Hoover Convertible Deluxe 1070</span>

<span style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva;">* Hoover Convertible Elite U4059</span>

<span style="font-family: 'trebuchet ms', geneva;">* Eureka Golden Vanguard 2092A</span>

My most beautiful vacuum

I would have to agree with Graham. My most beautiful vacuum would be my Electrolux LX. Followed by the LXI and last but not least, my pristine Model G.

The Electrolux vacuum cleaners from the 1950's, were functioning works of art.

A great evening to all,

Richard

OY

So many to choose from.  This would have to my idea of one of my most beautiful.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and some don't like the Super J, but it is one of my favorites and one that I think is beautiful.  Excuse the dust on the matching B-8.
